We went twice while we were in Vegas last month....and I enjoyed our "afternoon" trip a lot more than the Friday night trip. The Friday night that we went it was sooooooo packed....not that that is automatically a bad thing, but it was a very young, marginally PH crowd. When we went back f...

I was reading a book on misunderstood lyrics and it says that people think Jimmy say "I blew out my flip-flop, stepped on a poptart". I never heard that, nor do I know of anyone who has cut their heel on a poptart. My Keet sang it this way.....in her defense, she lives in a Post-Pop Top w...

Pat Conroy wrote the The Prince of Tides. Hope that helps. By the way...it was a good book!  Pat Conroy is one of my favorite authors....delightfully disturbing. The Great Santini is wonderful....Prince of Tides is my favorite. As usual, read the book before you think about watching the ...

I'm a fan of "good" sunglasses....have worn Ray Bans, Oakleys, Sun Cloud...but have converted forever to "Zeal Optics". They're a 'sport' sunglass and seem to be sturdier, although not heavier, than other glasses I've worn!! They have a lifetime warranty and a "crash protect...

The Parrothead stuff, which I'm not into at all (but if you are, more power to ya) isn't what Buffett means to me but it definitely plays a part but only on the surface. It runs much deeper than than that to me. It's about a love of the ocean and having a sense of escapism that is grounded in reali...

Spend some time on the "old" strip, Fremont Street. I think it's the heart of Vegas (broad assumption that Vegas has a heart) and it truly the roots of the city. I love downtown and spend most of my time there!! The overhead canopy/light show is put on hourly and is great fun....cheap drin...

Sail On, Captain!
Such great memories of a simpler and more gentle time.
I loved Dancing Bear.......and the goofy Moose.
So sad, seems that children's programming is so flashy now, just part of the times, I suppose. I miss the simplicity of The Captain & Mr. Rogers.

From a legal perspective, I agree that he is "innocent until proven guilty". To me, that is strictly a legal term.....personally, I believe he's guilty. I'm not convinced he'll be convicted.....after all it is the "CRIMINAL" justice system...not the "VICTIM's" justice s...

You don't have to theme the bike itself. The OCC stuph is show stuff. It's not typical for choppers. Watch the biker buildoff shows or Motorcycle Mania I and II. They don't build "theme" bikes as much as the paint, wheels and a few touches reflect the theme. So instead of trying to put fi...
