You are correct, SIRIUS and XM do pay royalties.

Internet radio, however does not. Podcast sites are a different story, as some of them are being gone after. Because they offer an actual download where you can "keep" the broadcast.

I was wrong, they do pay for satellite. It is INTERNET that does not pay royalty, but since Radio Margaritaville is on SIRIUS...they do.

Royalties are not paid for Satellite or Internet radio.

I've heard that on SIRIUS, the show is already mixed. The DJ doesn't even pick out tunes.

I don't know how true that is.
