This is not by the pool, but I have some wireless headphones that pick up RM from the computer and I can listen while on the treadmill or working in the flower beds, or heaven forbid, cooking!@!! I think I'll head to Radio Shack tomorrow for the USB wireless gadget/transmitter. Great idea about the ...

I just ordered Night Fall also...as if I need another book on the TO READ shelf.

I loved the part in Blue Lonesome where JIM decided to get out on the edge after reminiscing about an Astros/Giants baseball game! :)

So much to read and a concert tour leg starting SOON! :)

Here is another group of books that looks intriguing!

Lisa Wingate wrote "Tending Roses" that I saw a comment about under the Ben Erickson --A Parting Gift reviews.

Has anyone ever read any of these books?

This is the Amazon.com link to A Parting Gift by Ben Erickson.

There are so many memorable things from the book. It is one of those motivational books. It was actually written by a father for his son.

Had an invite to the Astos game today, but had to decline :(

The cost of gasoline is gonna keep me from making those quick trips to Houston unless I get me a little retirement car that is more economical.

Go, stros!

I was into Blue Lonesome after 3 pages! Didn't want to put it down, but had to watch the NEWS for a bit and clean house! :) Turned on some Jerry Jeff Jazz, Billie Holliday's Lady in Satin , and Carly's Film Noir . I love books with music references. Also, it was nice to have a change of scenery to t...

I just got Nanci's new CD and I Love This Town is a catchy tune, although Buffett is really just briefly on it.

Mac McAnally is also on the Hearts In Mind CD; I enjoyed the whole CD.

Honestly the VERY BEST was Jimmy Buffett at Jerry Jeff's 60th BDB at the Paramount in Austin, TX. Another great show was Guy Clark and Verlon Thompson at Carrollton Station in New Orleans. Rodney Crowell and Will Kimbrough at Crighton Theater in Conroe, TX was one of the best. Jerry Jeff's Labor Day...
