You're right. I should not have lowered myself to his level. I apologize to anyone I offended and will edit that out.

Yeah, I'm sure you were talking all those years that the Phillies were playing on the damp cement at the Vet. Might have been the worst ballpark in baseball back before they moved out. No "might have been" about it. It was so bad that the Baltimore Ravens chose to forfeit a game, rather t...

By the way, Mike....my rant on Phillies fans was not directed at you personally. I listen to a lot of Sports radio, and every single Phillies fan that called has sounded like an idiot today. It made me want them to lose. Go ahead and call us idiots if you want, but you're the ones who play baseball...

To whom are you directing this comment? I have had Rays seasons tickets for the past three years...from worst to first!! There are people here who support them through thick and thin. Oh.? Let me guess: you just went and disguised yourself as empty seats? Nobody even showed up until they made the p...

Ah.....so what I'm getting is that it is Selig's fault that it rained? (I'm a Rays fan, but if I wasn't, the following statement would still hold true) Now I REALLY hope the Phillies lose this series. The way the fans are whining that the rain delay is costing them....YOU SOUND LIKE CUBS FANS WITH ...

It was not raining when the game started -so why do you believe that it should have not been played at all??? Because they knew before the game that inclement weather would become an issue as the game went on. Each team has a meteorologist who's job it is to inform the team, the officials and MLB a...

Anthony Gargano broke the story on WIP this morning. MLB is going to make the announcement at 2:00.

Scratch that. Selig has just made the announcement.

WIP just broke the story that the game will not be played tonight. They're planning to go ahead and complete it on Thursday.

Sounds like the classic attitude that gives Philly fans the reputation for being morons. Play the game in pouring rain so you can save on the parking fees???? ..so Hamels can go 5-0??? c'mon... Actually, I never said they should have kept playing. I don't believe they should have played the game at...

Any other game is usually about $40. I understand but, again, the price is relative to the availble parking space. Like I said, we have enough parking to accomodate all four stadiums (and that's not even counting FDR Park) so the prices should be lower. Plus, it's easier to get to Fenway via public...

$25 to park? Up here, the parking places would expect you to pay $90 to park next to Fenway... twice. Yeah, but remember that Fenway is right in the middle of town where there really isn't any parking for a large event. This is in a several square mile area that is basically about 75% parking. Ther...

I just don't understand why this stuff always, always, always happens to us. We've been waiting 28 years for this and now they've ruined it. Even if we win, it's not going to be the same. There will always be an asterisk next to it. I wanted so badly to see us win at home because I know from a sourc...

Haven't seen it but Todd Friel is talking about it so much on his show that I'm curious. I'll probably just wait until it comes out on video.

:-? :-? :-? :-? Doesn't look good for tonight or tomorrow.. How about finishing this game back here in the Trop?? :D :D No way. First of all, it's baseball. It should be played outside, even if the weather's bad. Indoor baseball isn't real baseball. Second, the Ray's fans are terrible. They didn't ...

I remember back in '80 when the Phillies won. When Tug struck out Willie Wilson, my friends and I just went insane and ran out into the streets with everybody else, banging our pots and pans and just making joyful little idiots out of ourselves. It was great. Then, when we ditched school to go to th...

Between Jim's, Pat's, and Geno's, I like Jim's, except that the lines are a mile long. I like Pat's and Geno's because not only do they make great chessesteaks, they both do a lot of charity things for the community. Although the two have a very public and very bitter feud, I'm told by some friends ...

Re: Dining out is SOCIALIST!!!!

This is directly copy and pasted from another thread here on bn. I have tried to stay out of commenting on the political threads, but this, in my mind, goes beyond that.. Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed. Once...

Once upon a time big arena band, now playing clubs. ????    ..sounds like the life lament of the late twenty-something 8) Those guys should be playing street corners oh.... looking back at something worthwhile from Game 1 ...that Hamels move was a total...
