I don't remember because one of my best friends died that same day. He was 22 and was getting ready to return to school after battling cancer for the previous semester. A blot clot got loose and killed him. I had no sympathy for Elvis. Elvis basically killed himself. Everyone kept saying how young h...

We'd be the overnight zone. 300 miles from my family, 600 miles from hers. It's an easy weekend trip to Chicago, so we get up there 3-4 times per year and my mom comes here a couple of times. My wife usually gets to Detroit once a year and her sisters get here once or twice a year. She talks to them...

Best bar in Cabo

We're heading there in three weeks. Any recommendations for a good bar there?

Thanks.

I had a couple of bottles of that last night. It's a decent summer beer.

I've had bottles of Baileys go bad, but anything you can see through should be okay. We've had 20 year old bottles of liquor in our cabinet that were just fine.

Take 2 ounces of LSL and pour it in a 16 oz glass.

Add a 12 ounce bottle of a nice India Pale Ale.

Throwaway the rest of the LSL.

Enjoy!

I have read DSTC. I've read a few of Hiaasen's books, some I liked better than other. I think I read one of Laurence Shames books years ago, I'll have to pick up another one.

Thanks.

EDIT - looking at Amazon.com, I'm pretty sure I read Mangrove squeeze.

Writers similar to Jimmy

I've enjoyed all of Jimmy's books, especially "Where is Joe Merchant." Are there any other authors out there that write similar books?

Short of picking a compilation or a live album, I'd have to pick Changes in Latitude. It was my first Buffett album (back in 1977). Every song is good.

I guess I'm just going to have to make four margaritas and do a comparison test. :D 5. use the Patron Citronage as well. :D Is that a tequila? Do you just replace the total volume of liquor with that. The advantage to trying just the other four is that I already have all of them at home, but I ran ...

So, they're all classified as Triple Secs. Do they impart any different flavors on a margarita? Or are they too subtle to worry about?

Question for Margarita Experts

What the difference between:

Cointreau
Triple Sec
Orange Curacao
Grand Marnier

I've seen all of these used in Margaritas.

Please wait until all the time zones have had a chance to watch the show before you talk about the results. This thread is 23 pages long and been around for 10 weeks. Instead of expecting everyone else to wait until you've watched it, wouldn't it be simpler to not open this thread until after you'v...
