Just in case anyone cares here's my view on ALL organized religions... Let me start with I have a problem with anything that forces itself on anything, like the crusades, missionaries, etc. I don't remember who said it but it makes a lot of sense to me...The difference between a cult and an organiz...

I've spent plenty of $$ on tix, hotels, gas, meals, drinks, CDs, books, shirts, etc. etc. etc.

What Jimmy actually sold me, though, was a state of mind.

Priceless. 8)

77 for me. Music was a little weak - didn't really get into the Duran Duran thing during the 80's.

I think this whole fiasco started with the comment about the state of the public education system, with the reference that there are child molesters in the schools. With a lot of folks on this board who are teachers both in the public and private sectors I think some of them took issue with those c...

Re: Thanks Jimmy....

But my children come first, some people do not care, and send their children away to public schools where child molesters run the halls. No offense, but that has to be about the stupidest thing I've ever read...  Now I've seen it all... I agree with them. Seriously stupid comment. I wo...

late 80's (Christian? - crossover) hair band, STRYPER.

Crowd showed up mostly in black spandex and HUGE hair, wanting to be hard, hard, metal rockers, but singing Christian lyrics.

Cool, but slightly weird.

(No... I had neither black spandex nor huge hair.)

Excluding Jimmy's shows (which are the top of my list) Garth Brooks - love him or hate him (and there's plenty of both) he put on a heck of a show. America/Beach Boys - America opened for the Beach Boys and were completely funny and cool. The Beach Boys, although showing some age, can still put on a...

OMG! I tried to type les b ian the other day and it was nixed too. I think because of the SPAM problem about a month ago and someone was soliciting a Web site for hot lesbo action (tee hee lesbo still works). And just for the record, I think chicks-of-the-rainbow are very, very cool. I have no issu...

see I have seen JJ 3 times once with the Runaways... The next time on the I love Rock and Roll tour and just a couple of years ago. A good show each time. Glad the concerts you saw were good. Maybe I just caught her at a very low point in her career. I really do like some of her stuff - the only th...

another one

Well, the posts have dredged up some more repressed concert memories. I mentioned Joan Jett being a bad concert, but... Saw Steve Wariner at the American Royal in Kansas City in the late 90's. No personality, no energy. Sang a medley of his "greatest hits." Pretty tough to do when you don'...

This pains me to say.... but.. Joan Jett. Love her stuff, but by 1998 the poor girl was reduced to playing a temporary stage in the middle of the midway at a local county fair. She had two scraggly dudes playing guitar and drum for her and the mini RV they apparently traveled in was parked right nex...
