. . .Times change - morals change - attitudes change . . . You mean for the better? Apparently not. Maybe not in the way you would like for them to be changed. However they have changed; apparently you haven't lived that long to notice changes made or are blind to the changes preferring to i...

Re: Rush Renews Long-Term Contract With Premiere Radio/CC

Wonder what the Air America crew makes... minimum plus tips?   They would make a lot more if the media wasn't dominated by conservatives preventing them from getting equal air time. Damn those radio execs for caring more about ratings than liberal propaganda. Nah, they still wouldn'...

once again you're relying overly broad blanket statements. you need to say how does vehicle X do in the crash tests? in particular does the vehicle have side impact airbags? and will the front crush zone collapse into the passenger compartment? True... to a point. BUT... As the article stated, we c...

the smart car is definitely safer than your jeep. even if you choose not to believe it. Still waiting for you to answer this one AF. Once you do than I may consider your point as vaild. the IIHS crash tests are done at 40 MPH. And what are the crash test results for 65mph. You know the speed limit ...

Re: 4 days??

We do 10-hour days in the summer at my office and I LOVE it. That extra DAY available for home/personal is way better and more useful than the extra hour required at the start and end of a typical 8-hour day. :D

Ok, while we're on this topic... I'm curious as to why we can't build cars that get great mpg anymore? The method of measuring MPG was changed recently to make the numbers more realistic. Emissions and added weight because of government safety requirements also contribute. Nope, that ain't it. The ...

Ok, while we're on this topic... I'm curious as to why we can't build cars that get great mpg anymore? The Prius is rated at 48 city, 45 highway. Admittedly, that's really good, but, it uses an insane amount of techno-wizardry. A lot of modern cars are bragging about getting just over 30. What??? Re...

Re: Toyota Prius's Are Everywhere?

I was commenting to my husband the other night that every day, over the past year, I see more and more Toyota Prius's on the road. It seems to be the hottest, most fashionable car around these parts (Tacoma). My husband claims that it's the same case all over the country, but I'm wondering if it's ...

i believe it was in 1996, but Senator McCain was a vocal proponent of bombing the NK reactor facility. That's at least one reason to like McCain. I feel like I'd trust McCain as president. He seems like a good person even if I don't agree with everything he stands for. If he wins, I don't think I w...

Re: I just don't get it

And North Korea's declaration, received six months late, falls short of what the administration once sought, leaving it open to criticism from those who want the U.S. to take an even tougher stance against the regime. How does he respond??? President Bush on Thursday lifted trade sanctions against ...

As I stated when I posted this (wink, wink, nudge, nudge), I think the Supreme Court finally got one right. As a bitter gun toting hick, I agree that they made a proper ruling here. Parents of kids who were molested can kill the perpetrators themselves, now. That would be a big negative. The...
