If re-issues were ever done, I would love to have the job of the artwork/photography director. I would make sure not one image, liner note, or lyric form the original record sleeve was left out The art director MCA had in the early days of the CD format was obviously very lazy. I was quite shocked t...

Photography and Graphics guy credited in A-1-A CD insert?

I just got the A-1-A CD for Christmas and just noticed there are actually liner notes inside the insert. It credits the band and gives some liner notes about the front cover. But get this: they credit Peter Whorf, the man who did the Photography and Graphics for the album! :o What the heck? His only...

Looks like everyone got some cool stuff, thanks for sharing! :D Christmas really gave my JB CD collection a boost and I’m thinking about reviewing each one I received in the review boards once I get a chance to listen to them in their entirety. A-1-A seems to be my favorite (or is it phavoirte?) so ...

Another reason I was hesitant to make this list was that most of these CDs don’t include the original artwork (save the front cover) or liner notes that the vinyl records had. I have a bad feeling that as soon as I finish my JB CD collection, they will do reissues. :-?

YHTBT should be first on that list, it's the best live album and one of Jimmy's best. :D Yes, I have read some great reviews for that one, its just that I want to collect all the studio albums first. Just ask her to get A1A... one of (if not THE) best, and the name of the album ISN'T the name of a ...

Buying greatest hits and then the albums… Not good.

OK. Let me start by saying that the family’s first JB CD was SYKBH. I sure I’m not alone here. Any way, my dad was the one who discovered Jimmy and bought SYKBH shortly after we moved to Florida in 1990. He then bought Floridays, Off to see the Lizard and Feeding Frenzy. My Mom likes Jimmy’s music a...

Another one I was reminded of when I heard the original (Van Morrison) Brown Eyed Girl on the radio last week:

Van Morrison: I saw you just the other day, my you have grown.

JB: Thought about it just the other day, where has the time all gone.
