*sigh*… Well, I’m terribly sorry, but I must disagree. Sure, a book like that would be a neat thing to have for any artist, and I’m not against that… But the fact that it’s being discussed to replace CD remasters… No, not good… Many people, surprisingly after all this time, are missing the point tha...

Yeah, tell me about it. My Mom and I went on two beer runs (for my dad and uncle), after she had already picked up a few cases on her regular grocery run. There are now 9 20 packs (7 Bud and 2 Bud Light) of beer in my garage. I hope nobody important comes over and looks in the garage and thinks we'r...

I think it depends on the concert/show, the factors being a) The arrangement of the song being performed, and b) if the performer is having a good night. If these two factors are a all good, there is a very good chance of the live rendition topping the studio version. Given, there are plenty of song...

If you need to hear it from the person who posted it, fine. When I spoke against the cheese/boobies/pie crap, it was targeted to the entire group who tends to be responsible every time a hijack occurs, not BuffettBride/Mallory as one person. Perhaps a visit to the optometrist is in order for some of...

I agree with Jahfin, I respect Lee for the same reasons he mentioned, but I also have a hard time seeing why everyone seems so dependent on his knowledge. Sure, he is in the industry and brings lots of information to the table, very true. But, other people can be also, as well as those who do their ...

Yeah, and did I mention that not one of these compilations from the DTE/HCJ material actually features a pic from THAT era on the cover? Captain Amercia is off, that's the 70s, and American Storyteller is waaayy off, with a late 90s/2000s pic on the cover.

I don't think there's been any Buffett releases done for the true fans. Every product released under the name seems to be compiled with the casual fan in mind... I know their the mass market and all, but plenty of artists take a detour now and then and give those of us into the fine details some goo...

I have to say I prefer the seperate CD releases by Varse that are actually CD issues of the orignal LPs (Down To Earth and High Cumberland Jubilee), just with a bonus track each thrown in the mix. I'd say get um' as close as you can to the orignals and ignore all these repacked compilations. Plus, I...

I hate the fact that he allowed CD's without the original artwork, photos and liner notes. So do I! :D Nothing on JB's own part though, aside from the fact that at times he can let those who are "only there to get drunk and laid or be annoying, and talking through all the great songs that they don'...

Yeah, I have to agree with all of this. Sure, I’ve been in many battles around these parts and unintentionally got people riled up at times for the same reasons Jahfin mentioned. The primary reason would be for my campaign for CD remasters of the early albums, which no matter what new information I ...
