I second that commotion especially since most of the artists being named are wannabe hat acts that wouldn't know what real country music was if it jumped up and bite 'em on the ass.

I remember a made-for-TV movie about Jan and Dean quite a few years ago that depicted his struggle following the accident. Considering all that he's been through it's a miracle he lived this long. One of the true innovators of "surf" music, he'll be sorely missed.
