I'm not really questioning anything but I did misspeak regarding the nature of their banning from radio. The whole anti-Dixie Chick was overblown by the press beyond belief. Truth be told, their concerts continued to sell out and protestors were nearly (if not completely) non-existent at their conc...

This is not meant to overshadow the suffering endured by those along the Gulf Coast at all but Hurricane Ophelia is the straw that broke the camel's back for many of us here along the North Carolina coast. Due to Katrina and Rita coverage this storm amounted to little more than a blip on the radar s...

Thanks to all who have signed. I've just accepted a job opportunity that will unfortunately take me away from the coast but put me much nearer to someone I care very much about. With the condos taking over it may be time to get the hell out anyway. It pains me greatly to do so but higher wages and t...

...but I have no desire to see a weak ass Buffett imitator at Margaritaville either. To me, this statement seems to be an assumption on your part, and it implies that all live entertainment at Margaritavilles are weak ass Buffett imitators... to which, I disagree whole-heartedly. Everyone, includin...

Was not a smart move on her part because of the way people are nowadays .... but it should have never gotten out of hand like it did. What do you mean by "the way people are nowadays? And, what got out of hand? I'm not sure if this is what was meant but I'm guessing it's the destruction of Dixie Ch...

I've seen it, albeit from the outside. It's just another store in the ever burgeoning JB empire. I don't fault him one iota for that since he said years ago when he started the first Margaritaville in Key West that he was doing it so he would have something to fall back on in the event the hits didn...

I'm not absolutely positive but I'm pretty sure this is the first album I heard by Utley and Greenidge outside of the Reefers. I haven't been able to nail down an exact date of release but I remember it from at least the late 80s. http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0001FAW3O.01-A3B4LTBGCMDQHE._AA24...

I believe Buffett describes Buckley as a "humorist" during the intro to God's Own Drunk on You Had To Be There.

You can read more about him here:

I have no doubt about the golfing aspect but I have no desire to see a weak ass Buffett imitator at Margaritaville either. I'm sure I will visit one day but it very likely won't be for the entertainment, unless it's the man himself.

Myrtle Beach is overrun by touristas and tacky ass tourist traps designed specifically for them. Margaritaville is no different. That said, I'll probably visit it some day just to check it out but I doubt very seriously I'd ever eat there (or at Cheeseburger In Paradise). I love me some Jimmy Buffet...

She wants to make a comment about our President say it on American soil not over seas. She has and I see no harm whatsoever in her expressing her opinion on foreign soil. As for being shunned by Nashville, a similar blackballing occurred to Steve Earle quite some time ago because of his outs...
