I have stayed at a few places and the cheapest was the Duruy Inn about 4 blocks from the French Quarter nice, clean friendly people. I like staying more inside the FQ but if your looking for less expense.

We will be there the 2nd weekend and plannig a couple nights at Jimmy's, anyone have any hotel suggestions in the FQ?

I'm picking the 2nd weekend and hoping for the best. This will be my wife's first trip to NO and my first to jazzfest it would be great to see Jimmy there, last april in vegas he said he would be back there this year but they do not announce the lineup untill february.
