There may be cheaper hotels a little South of Ft. Lauderdale in Hollywood or Dania...I know there is a Motel 6 in Dania that is very reasonable. If you are brave and not scared of hookers...hotels on Federal Highway..aka US 1....are also cheaper than on the beach and it is not far from the beach eit...
