Well the first thread I created seems to eb working out which is good. Thanks for everyone's inputs. Conch, I also really came to know Jack from that magazine since the only reason i purchased it was because Jimmy was on the cover.

I also got the chance to see it in atlantis before it shut down. My ex and I went (she is also a big time parrothead). Show was well done and very entertaining but I remember that the the people next to us never even heard of Jimmy but were just looking for something to do.

I'm staying at my house, 12 miles away. Should be a great day. Can't wait.

Funny you shoudl mention that Jack Johnson may be the next generations' Jimmy cause I was introduced to Jack Johnson's version of "Pirate" and him in general by my little bro who's 10 years younger than me. He likes Jack like I like Jimmy. Jack Johnson is playing Central Park in Septemeber...

I'm not sure how old his version is but I don't think it's brand new either. Jack Johnson is an ex-surfer from Hawaii who's music I saw described as "lazy blues stylings, which also molded folk and hip-hop for a modern rock twist". That's a prety good way to put it I think.

Has anyone heard his cover of "Pirate Looks at 40"? Not bad I thought but of course it's not close to Jimmy's version. Wondering what others think of it or I guess even if they know who jack Johnson is.
