Jimmy goes out of his way to say good things about people like John Kerry and Bill Clinton. Are we supposed to believe that those guys are not pieces of sh#t just because Jimmy likes them?

Do you know personally that KC doesnt like the change of style a bit...do you know this????[/quote]

I'm sure he likes it. I'm sure that he went to his songwriters and said "Hey, I'm tired of trying to be John Mellencamp, I want to be Jimmy Buffett now. So write me some music that sound like Buffett"

Depends on what you mean by country music.

I like Haggard, Johnny Lee, John Conlee, Vern Gosdin, Charlie Daniels, Conway Twitty.

Also like Alan Jackson, Early Clint Black, Mark Chessnutt, AND MOST DEFINATELY CHRIS FRIGGIN' LEDOUX!!!

OK. I never said that JB wrote "Ballad of Spider John". I implied that most fans at a Chesney show that recognized CIB would probably not recognize "Spider John". I think that my point has been reinforced here by the fact that only two songs have been brought up as being wrote by KC himself. Any of ...

Kenny Chesney - wannabe if i've ever seen one!!!

For starters, I know that alot of people on this forum like Chesney and So does the man himself, James Buffett. That' all fine and good. But, the bottom line is that this guy is nothing but a wannabe. Has he ever done anything original? His video for "young" (I think that's the name of the song) was...

MARGARITAVILLE over Lovely Cruise. I love Margaritaville, but I don't really want it to win this thing. Buffett has done much better. Although, the line "But there's boos in the blender, and soon it will render, that frozen concoction that helps me hang on", has got to be one of the greatest song li...

I have a two year old daughter, who will definately be raised on Buffett. Even right now, when I make a "Best of Buffett" cd, I leave off why don't we get drunk. If I wait until she is 15 to take her to see Buffett, he probably won't be touring by then. I already have a plan in place and my advice t...

I have been asking this question since the dates were released. I have a friend in Nashville who has been asking, but can't find anything out. I find it hard to believe that Nashville will be skipped. But....I'm getting pretty concerned.

I actually seen the Nashville Cd on e-bay a few weeks ago. I know it has not been released, but someone had a CD of the show and was pushing it on e-bay. I guess they somehow had a bootleg copy of the show. Too bad JB isn't playing Nashville this year. At least it looks that way. ANy of you guys fam...

I have always been a huge John Mellencamp fan. I got to sing with the guy at a concert once, I have a tattoo that came from one of his cd's. But I have been really turned off to him in the last year or so because for some reason, he thinks that everyone wants to hear his political opinions. And his ...

Jimmy Buffett in Nashville??

Has anyone heard anything about Nashville this year? I'm starting to get worried that there may not be a Nashville show. I have tickets to the Cincy show, but have friends in Nashville that I always hook up with for the JB show. Anyone know anything????

I visit this site almost daily and look at the discussion board just to read what everyone is saying. However, after reading this thread, I had to register so that I can throw in my (probably unpopular) two cents. I absoultely cannot stand Kenny Chesney. It irritates the living hell out of me when I...
