I agree with you Sparty. I consider myself lucky to live in Chicago where Jimmy has played a minimum of 2 concerts (3 if you count Alpine) for the past umpteen years. Do I have a preference, yes, but he is not consulting me where he will play and nor should he. I consider myself a loyal fan and as ...

He skips Michigan more often then not anymore. So we travel to see him. :D And meet BNers! I don't think some of the places where he "always" goes realize just how lucky they have been. And they get all upset if he varies his routine and does something else. Jimmy doesn't seem to be a &qu...

Don't be so greedy!! LOL! Think of us poor souls who don't even have one date in our area! And skips us 2 out of 3 years for that matter! I understand though... I thought about making the trip to Wrigley, but decided it really wouldn't be the same either. I'm still holding out hope for a date at Pin...

All of the presales I've ever seen, and never one for Buffett, comes from the artist. For instance, I know KISS and Bon Jovi had presales for their concerts, but you had to be a fan club member. Although, Motley Crue, who recently came through town, did have a presale too, but I think that came from...

I see your point about the "casual" fan maybe not wanting to pay more for the tickets, but I'd be surprised if too many casual fans are "lucky" enough to get tickets. If you're not on top of your game (and even sometimes if you are) you are S.O.L. on getting tickets. They're gone...

Thank you! I keep checking the tour dates page and see the little note "and don't ask when other dates will be released..." or whatever it says exactly. But, I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER!!! I'm starting to panic. I don't think I can breathe... gasp....

I know we're not supposed to ask about tickets....

But, is it just me or are the ticket dates being released really sporadically and later than usual this year? Looking back, we've purchased our tickets around St. Patty's Day for the last several years. This year, we're finding out about a date here or there and still no full tour. I'm more concerne...

Pine Knob aka DTE is a VERY VERY VERY small venue. Its about 1/2 the size of most venues, and about 1/4 of the size of the Tweeter in Tinley Park. Less tickets sold = Less money in his pocket. Sorry, I had a hard time believing this, so I had to look it up. It is smaller than Tweeter, but actually ...

Off subject a bit, but... Since when is Detroit the "home of rock n roll?" I believe the proper moniker would be "Detroit Rock City." I think there may be some confusion with Arthur P and the WRIF saying they are the Home of Rock 'n' Roll. Which they probably are. :-) Detroit's ...

I need to second that Matt... The tailgate was GREAT! My only regret was that I listened to some of these people (including the crabby lady answering the phones) that said the tailgate wouldn't open until 4:00! We got there about 3:45 and there were many, many people already partying in the lot! Wha...

Unless they try herding you into a line or something. I have been to Tweeter in Chicago the last couple years and they always come around and tell you it's time to head in, about an hour before the show starts or more!! I guess there will be fewer problems with hundreds of people standing in a line/...

So... has anybody 'officially' spoken to anyone from Blossom for the details? I know many venues change rules for each show that comes in (probably based on what kind of audience they are expecting). I'm coming from out of town and don't want any surprises. Someone from our party is calling the venu...

yeah, I voted for Jimmy on that page. I'm there nearly every day trying to find out what the deal is. I've done the travelling thing (to Chicago in 2001, 2002 and 2003- ironically I was out of town when he was here) and NOTHING compares to THE KNOB. I just don't get why he'll give Chicago 2 shows wh...

I, too, feel your pain. I've been to every tour since 1993, even though he seems to have given up on my venue here in Michigan as of late. I guess I have a hard time understanding why he will do 2 shows in Chicago that DO NOT sell out, instead of coming to Detroit where I've seen 2 and 3 shows sell ...

I find it funny, too, that so many people are messing up words to "Come Monday," including myself. I used to think it was "Come on, babe" which actually makes sense, and never occurred to me it wasn't right! Until I bought my first album, anyway. Hmmm, what's this "Come Mond...

I got myself a nice little Buffett-inspired tattoo about 5 years ago. I love it, but I wish it was interchangable! I don't want to get another one, but I wish I could switch it out. I love the 'fins' logo thing someone else was talking about, I originally wanted a parrott, but I didn't want it that ...

Last year, which was my first at Tweeter, we went down to the venue and right before it, there was a parking lot that people were gathering in. It's some sort of arcade or something? It didn't get too full, but would be a great alternative. It just $uck$ that you'll have to pack up your stuff and mo...
