Since we're talking about background vocals (I always thought it was "lord" too...), the background singers in Simply Complicated and Up On The Hill from Carnival sound identical to me.

Not sure of Jimmy's first show in Cincy. Probably the late 70's, but Parrotheadisdom started in the early to mid 80's at the Timber Wolf Amphitheater at the Kings Island Amusement Park. Timothy B. Schmidtz (of the Eagles fame) was touring with Jimmy for a period of time. He noticed that concertgoers...

I do not know about any video plans. I did hear TATS yesterday (1st time on radio) on our local country station WAMZ. The longtime drive time DJ and Nashville insider Coyote Calhoun said that it was his favorite new song out there right now. :D I could not help but think how ironic it was to hear a ...

What Songs Are You Singing???

Being in a simplistic fun mood this morning :D I ponder the question, what song(s) do you find yourself singing along to most off of LTC (for all of us "gonna make it someday singers")??? Mine happen to be Boats To Build, Coast Of Carolina, and Sea Of Heartbreak.

Thanks Four Play, you're right it was SOASOAS. And ironically, Harrison had a very Jimmyesque song on his posthumous Brainwashed CD called Rocking Chair In Hawaii.

Beatleesque moments on LTC

OK, after a few more listens this weekend, I "hear" George Harrison "playing" the guitar solo in Trip Around The Sun. And Simply Complicated reminds me of Piggies (especially the chorus) from the White Album. Didn't Jimmy pay homage to Harrison on Pirate Looks At 40 from MMIM??? ...
