unfortunately, the whole sitting/standing thing is a bit more complicated, because for the most part, 98% of the audience is standing... if someone behind you is sitting, and asks you to sit, and you comply, then you can't see. Then what? You ask the next person, and the next person, and the next pe...

I wouldnt expect people to be loud and dancing at a small acoustic show like the ones you mentioned just like I would expect to see many people sitting down and being quiet at a Buffett show. Do you mean you would NOT expect to see many people sitting down and being quiet at a Buffett show? Just tr...

Some of the posts I've seen here strike me as being a bit on the rude side as well (especially the one threatening physical violence on someone). Maybe someone wants to sit a Buffett show or maybe because of some kind of medical condition they have to. It is being equally respectful to them if they...

I can only imagine what the commute out of town is going to be like the Friday before. The convention is great for tourism alright. It's gonna empty the city and the good citizens of Boston will spend their money elsewhere that week. C'mon up to NH. Please spend lots of money. Melli, where do you g...

Going to be in Boston from July 12th to the end of the DNC to cover the event. It's gonna s*** (not Boston, I like the city, but working the event). I did the RNC in Philly in 2000 and that totally messed up the South Philly area. Anyway, while I'm up there, maybe meet up with some of the Bean-town...

Phenway VS. DNC
Ok, at the risk of having tomatoes (or coconuts) hurled at me, here is a different type of Fenway thread...but a fenway thread nonetheless... For all of you in the New England area (and those who want to weigh in), am I the only person who finds it totally ridiculous that the residents of the City o...

However, having read the posts, seems to me that more people either partake or are tolerant of those who choose to partake at a show (assuming those who are smoking are respectful to those who are not). So, even though there are more people who choose not to smoke at a show, the majority of people ...

No, but I have a brother who's 17 years younger than me who I have some ad hoc parental control over... To answer the next question (i'm assuming), yes, if my brother asked me (he's 12 and I'm 29) if that guy over there was doing pot, I would say yes, and if he asked me why I'd say I don't kn...

At Houston last year, the guy next to me spilled a full cup of beer right in my lap I'm usually so excited by showtime that I pi$$ myself! So I wouldn't notice if someone spilled a beer in my lap!   My cousin pi$$ed in the woods fine all day 2 years ago during a concert, and then...

Ok, I didn't read all 8 pages of replies (yet), but here is my 2c Toker: You have the right to do whatever you want (smokin the happy stuff), but you have to be willing to pay the consequences (gettin thrown out, arrested, etc.) for your actions. Non-Toker: You have the right to not be subject to il...
