I only hopew Mr. Taylor comes off better than he did last show there where he was an arrogant a$$. The place is nice, they had zero port a johns last time and 8 dollar beers is ridiculous. There is a reason we only hit the Jimmy shows. The ultimate in price gouging.

That's pretty funny, really, this whole boycotting Wrigley, and saying Jimmy should retire thing is getting rediculous. I see a boycott leading to a lot of people kicking themselves when they realize thatthey missed Jimmy's last couple of tours because he missed alpine one year, or Great woods anot...

The only drawback being, if someone wants the complete recordings of Down To Earth and High Cumberland Jubilee, they won't find 'em here since this collection omits some tunes
That I did not know.

The funny thing is, most people like to go to Alpine and GW because the "party" is so much better. They then claim going to other venues is not as much fun (even thought the show is the same), because they will not be permitted to drink in the parking lot for 6 hours before the show Yesa ...

A few summers ago, when Jimmy skipped Atlanta one summer, I was furious. Luckily, he came in February to Phillips, but that isn't the same as an outdoor show. i agree if I wanted to do some whining I could mention that in 10 years here he only played outside once and we couldn't go. When we hit Pit...

The 3 most prominent venues of the past decade (Great Woods, Alpine, and Irvine) have all been skipped in recent tours Most Super Bowls aren't even good games. Trying really hard to decide which of these gets my vote for most ridiculous statement of this thread. It is a tough call. 3 most prominent...

You know this running joke about Fingers cracks me up every time!!! Then you really need to get out more. A joke somehow implies something with humor and not a mindless comment repeated often. Speaking of mindless, despite Howard Stern's arrival, I also just got up woith Sirius after a lot of thoug...

I don't think anyone has ever implied that Alpine has "more fun" than other venues Then I don't think you have been reading this thread. Or the MULTIPLE threads concerning this venue. Go back and read the orginal post to this thread. Retire? Because he didn't go to Alpine? How sensible is...

Those who have been to every Buffett concert at Alpine (me), or those that have only been to one, know what i'm talking about. Does he play different songs there? Are their new band members that come out? Are the setlists 50 songs long? I think the point that is trying to be made is that Alpine is ...

Buffett did not start playing Alpine regularly until 1995. There are a lot of other sites that have more reason to assume that Jimmy should play there before Alpine. I thought I was the only one who was of that opinion. Its kinda weird. I am afraid we are going to have to talk some people off build...

And they gave the Green Parrot a mention! As far as I'm concerned, the GP is THE best bar in Key
I have always found this odd. I have been going to Key West for over 10 years and have never set foot in the Green Parrot. Very weird as its such a popular and well known place.

Just curious, mainly because of the nauseating number of posts regarding Alpine Valley. A cathedral? Are you kidding me? I am sure its a great place. I am sure you all have a great time. But having Jimmy in multiple, multiple places, every venue feels that way.

Not sure why folks do not see this. Buffett does not set the ticket prices. He is paid a flat sum by the venue which then sets the ticket price. Yes Jimmy may be raising the asking price, but then at his age that is his right.
