JJW in NYC June 16
To all my compadres out there in the Oneonta & NYC metro area, head over to BBKings near Time Square and catch Jerry Jeff Walker next week for his only NYC spring/summer show. Wish I could be there but I will not. The man is a livin legend and as big brother to JB, the reason we have a website t...

Snippets of Songs
In Liverpool a a few years back Jimmy may have worked Hava Nagilla into "You'll Never Work in Dis Bisness". I think it was after the "Bubba worked a double bar mitzvah line".

Dave not Kenny Loggins
If my memory is correct, Poco was co-founded by Jim Messina, he of the earlier supergroup Buffalo Springfield (along with Neil Young, Stephen Stills, et.al.) and also part of the duo Loggins and Messina with Kenny Loggins -- saw them in concert in 1975 and saw Loggins solo in 1992. I remember folks...

Poco
With all the chatter here on the Eagles (who made JB their opening act circa 1977 thereby aiding and abuffetting) I'd like to reintroduce Poco . This "supergroup" Meisner, Furay, Cotton, Schmidt etal- was a successor to Buffalo Springfield and predated the Eagles. Timothy B Schmidt took a ...

Warren or Jimmy?- Reuters Rooters
Saw an ad in today's Wall Street Journal with a big picture of Warren and the question is this the guy who wrote Margaritaville & Cheeseburger in Paradise and is currently on tour promoting a new album? Reuters is concerned that if research moves offshore the accuracy of reporting will suffer. P...

TR on LL
I think of Lyle as one of those rare artists that transcends the genre of "country" music and takes his muse where ever it may roam. Certainly one of my favorites, current or otherwise. "Lyle's not like the other children"- Intro to Tom Rush's cover of "If I Had a Boat"...

JC
Had JC not died in that plane crash I could have seen him winding up with a TV show cuz he had great mic skills and was a really funny guy. Kinda weird considering how some of his songs were, along he had lots of funny songs too. He was like JB in many ways. My friend, it's JC who's like JB. JC prc...

I really love this tune- a JC cover of the "traditional" bawdy limerick. It's a live version and I'm not sure where JC performed it. Likely in Pennsylvania. I love the ad libs. I think that JB picked up some of JC's stage prsence- raps, jokes etc.

ASPOL Tour Renamed
I think it was in the liner notes to A1A that Jimmy said "So the trip was a cover and the cover was the trip".
So my subject was renamed and the renaming was the subject.
Senior moment or premature submission.

ASPOL Tour Renamed
Unnamed sources at Coconut Telegraph have inflamed me that in view of the omission of May & July from the tour, management has renamed it the "Semi-Retired Tour".

When Steve Kroft asked Jimmy where his fan base was JB answered that believe it or not it was NYC. You explain to me how if that's the case how there ain't gonna be a show at Jones Beach. I'm still bettin there will.

Steve Goodman is the reason I'm a Jimmy Buffett fan for 28 years. Steve was a solid singer/songwriter in his own right but do yourself a favor and buy Somebody Else's Troubles.

60 Minutes Interview with JB-II
Well months after it aired Goodman finally got to see the Steve Kroft hour with JB. It was on Channel 187 CMT. First, I love seeing & listening to Jimmy. He's a charming, likeable guy. As far as the interview - 2 stars out of a possible 4. Barely learned anything new; granted I know more about J...

i haven't heard any of his stuff, but i know he's at Bonnaroo - let me know if I should check him out!! I'd say JP is an acquired taste. If you're going to compare JB with JP I don't think you'll be happy. If you like country/folk and appreciate lyrics and not just getting drunk at the show, then y...

JP ASAP
I'm seeing JP in NYC on June 15th. My first time seeing him. He's been avoiding NYC for years just to allow my concert budget dollars to be allocated to JJW. Got the new cd -Fair & Square and obligatory tour t-shirt.
