Re: Where has the excitement of the Great Woods show gone ??

For years I have been attending the Buffett concerts at the Tweeter Center/Great Woods/Comcast Center. This is the first year I can honestly say there is a lack of interest in many people that I know that want to go to the show. I know its a selected few, but there are other signs I see. I can unde...

Just got back from Jones Beach and I got to tell you that literally dozens of people I met during the tailgate were fired up for Great Woods and that many of them were calling Jone Beach "Great Woods South" and "using it as a warm up for the Great Woods main event . . . " and I ...

When I read Jon's "no one will miss you" post I took it as a general comment about what seems to be a lack of enthusiasm about Great Woods this year. It didn't quote anyone else, it didn't name anyone else, it was just a general comment. However, the more I think about it the more I'm mor...

My wife and I purchased tickets, and got some really great pavillion seats, but have decided at the last minute not to go for the following reasons... 1) We live on Long Island, and between the tickets, hotel, food, ferry and gas, the cost of the weekend would be approximately $1200-$1500. 2) A 250 ...

I got in with no wait at all, and pulled 2 in Section 5, row E. I was elated! Then my wife tells me we can't go because of a niece's graduation. So now I'm stuck with $433.90 in tickets I can't use, I'm sure someone will take them at cost, but it'll be a pain getting the deal done. I could not beli...

Re: MSG Tix Selling S-L-O-W

Well, it's about an hour after Garden tix went on sale, and there are still lots and lots available (I was able to pull sec. 5 floor seats a few minutes ago; didn't bite). Other than $$$, I have no idea what is motivating JB to play the Garden in the heart of the summer instead of doing Jones Beach...

The large parking fee was the last straw for me. For the second time in 28 years I will not be attending a Buffett concert, the first time by choice. I know there are good "business" reasons why Buffett has moved from Great Woods, but I can't support another venue when Great Woods is the ...

Re: to xm users:

I just sent a email to xm suggesting radio margaritaville added to thier channel lineup. I don't know the issues involved into making this a reality, but i tried. if anyone else wants to go to thier website and do the same, maybe if they get enough emails they will look into it. Been tried before.....

I really don't think this will be his last tour. I think there are a few factors here: 1) The sucess of the Fenway shows 2) The demand for tickets in the past 3) The success of LTC, which increased the demand I'll miss the lawn, but I think it'll be a good time Ya know something, I think we all sho...

I am thinking it is more along the line of JBFins offered as an explanation. "Go out, one last huge tour, play as many stadiums as you can for top dollar, then bag it." Sadly enough, I think you've hit it right on the head. I just wish Jimmy had the fairness and common sense to end his to...

Fan Contributions To JB's Kid's Trust Funds <g>

Ticket prices are getting out of hand these days. I just spent 68.50 for a balcony ticket for Van Morrison! Just wondering though, has anything been said about other acts playing as well? If Jimmy has a multiple act show, all day kinda thing, the prices may not be all that bad. If it looks like he'...

Supersized Venues & Biggie Prices

Oh come on folks, after seeing the "new" list of supersized venues that JB is playing - plus the new "biggie" ticket prices - isn't it clear that he is giving the bronx-cheer to his loyal fans?! I mean, let's be a little objective and candid here -- ever since he won that Country...
