I thought of one. When I was a ski bum, I dated a girl who was from a wealthy family in Seattle. Her parents sent her away to Sun Valley for awhile because she had gotten knocked up by her high school boyfriend. She had the kid and the parents were raising it as their own, so they sent her away aga...

I was contacted by one of my exs 3 or 4 years ago. She said she was just checking in because she thinks about me a lot. After I told her that I was still married to the same person who I broke it off with her for, she told me she would check back in another 10-15 years.

I listened to the news conference and Jr. seemed calm and relieved. He stated that the sponsorship issues would be worked out in the next few months. He also said he would like to drive the #8 and would like to talk to Teresa about that. He'd let the Media help with that.... (or something to that e...

I'm a Miller LIte drinker. I know a lot of beer snobs think it's crappy but it's what I like. I use to drink it out of long neck returnable bottles, you know the old scratched up bottles that needed a real bottle opener. But I can't get those any more unless someone knows where in Chicago. A little...

Re: Uh oh . . .

The U.S. has done it (Iraq most recently and others too numerous to mention). The Israelis have done it (Lebanon). Now the Turks have seemingly joined the 'pre-emption' club. Those darn Kurds in northern Iraq have apparently been reclassified as 'rebel guerrillas' and having had a front row seat to...

An oil company was trying to choose an accountant, but was being very careful about it. The Board of Directors scheduled appointments to interview three accountants. After an initial exchange of pleasantries, the Chairman of the Board said, "Okay, let's get down to business. I have an importan...

Not to argue here, and I am a bit past basic econ 101, but you are confusing yourself. To simplify, they are making record profits after all other money is spent, including budgeting upgrading facilities (such as the one at BP in Hammond, Indiana, which is a HUGE project). Larry is 100% right that ...

The oil companies are simply doing exactly what they should be. They are maximizing returns for their owners. They are private businesses not charities.

If you don't like the price of gas, quit buying it.

Oh, I danced (figuratively) when Saddam hit the end of his rope as well. I danced LITERALLY when he assumed room temperature. And, while RevJer was never a favorite of mine, I don't really put him in the same class as Sodomy Sahib Skyhook Hussien. While RevJer may not have actually killed nor order...

What a country. People here get upset when Sodomy Hussien finally gets what HE deserved, but, yet there's dancing in the streets when someone like Jerry Falwell dies. What a country. Oh, I danced (figuratively) when Saddam hit the end of his rope as well. I have a long list of folks whose eventual ...
