Jimmy is certainly doing a lot of advertising if that is the case.. Also, if Landshark is going to replace Corona there must be plans for wider distribution.. Jimmy is in it for the $$$ This week's promo email from Margaritaville said the 2007 tour will be sponsored by Landshark Lager and that it w...

Another factor is the fact that most of these venues have maybe 4/5/6000 seats in the shed. Those would be $126.00. The balance of the 20 to 25,000 people pay $36.00! 126.00 x 6,000 = $756,000.00 $36.00 x 14,000= $504,000.00 That's only $1,260,000.00 Ticket gross! Also, don't forget that the Sponso...

My sense is many people these days figure whatever they can get away with is okay...especially driving. :( And Wayne, I don't know if I would have had the guts to do this but it would have been awfully funny if you stood next to her, pulled out your cell phone and started saying things about her...&...

Re: tickets
All tickets are too expensive, whether it be Buffett orost anyone else. I used to be able to attend evry concert I anted, now I just have to pick a couple of the best. Of course, Buffett is one of them. (Sometimes the ONLY one). I paid 5.00 to see him at Kings Island the first couple of times. Most...

Are ticket prices high? Yep. In two years pavilion prices went from $66 to $86 to $126...basically a 100% increase. (Lawn prices have held at $36 the past two tours.) The affordability obviously depends on each individual's situation and priorities and I'm sure it's now a lot tougher for some. That ...

Jimmy's recent trek to the Mali desert....
Okay, Economist nerd that I am, I found this to be a neat little article about the music festival Jimmy recently attended.... I think we need more discussions of this sort on this website and hope to bring up issues such as this when I see them. I couldn't agree more re. discussions of this sort on this BuffettNews. Unfortunately, some folks dislike conflict around things like this and get extremely territorial and uncomf...

Being fired is totally different from being layed off. A layoff is triggered by bigger picture business conditions (beyond the individual's control) whereas a firing is due to personal performance issues (within the individual's control...poor performance, bad attendance, breaking company policy, et...

So Garry, do you feel the same about leather (shoes, jacket, wallet, etc.) as you do about pelts and furs? NO, NO, NO. If I had my way, I'd own no shoes-only flip flops and I'd have no need for a jacket. And what the hell is a wallet? Is it that thing my wife uses to carry my money?  :lo...

Didn't we already beat this topic to death when it was first announced a few weeks ago? Sure did, and the bottom line is still the same now as it was then: Whether you agree with it or not, Jimmy has the right to any opinion he wants and if this is one of his, so what. If it really bothers you so m...

Try to tell me how cute animals deserve more of our attention than helpless peoples... Not picking on you Bolt, but to say that since humans are more important than animals so we should just ignore this is absurd. Why cant we focus on Darfur AND seal clubbing? IJM, Bolt hasn't said the animals shou...
