Thankfully I don't live near Jersey so I won't have to live in constant fear of Glory Days. Sorry East Coasters. I hear you on Glory Days. I'm a big Springsteen fan but that's one of my least favorite of his songs. :o No kidding... When SoulMate and I listened to one of the MSG shows - the one wher...

WBZ-TV here in Boston is reporting that Senator Arlen Spector of Pennsylvania wants to investigate the NFL for the handling of the tapes the Patriots had to turn over to the NFL. He wants to know why the Commissioner destroyed the tapes the Patriots turned over to him. The country, and the world, i...

"the passengers will please refrain" Apparently the conductors used to have to remind passengers not to use the restrooms while the train was in the station. Which leads me to believe that the toilets on trains were nothing more than a hole in the floor. :o much like a Dave Matthews tour ...

Re: The City of New Orleans

We all know the song by Arlo Guthrie. Maybe it's just me, but I'd call it the song by Steve Goodman, made popular by Arlo Guthrie. It's not just you... BTW to get the story behind this line: "The conducter sings his song again, the passengers will please refrain." the best s...

Rich Gossage really changed how relievers were perceived.
Prior to him most were just failed starters, not specialists.
So he was somewhat of a pioneer, IMHO anyway...

An interesting take on the Colts vs Pats game. Even though I think the Patriots should have been punished more harshly than they did for cheating, but the officiating in this game was suspect. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/071109&sportCat=nfl Just a heads up, Simmons i...

Where we lived in CT it was taught in 4th grade. We moved here to MA the summer before my oldest started 4th grade, only to find out that here it is taught in 3rd grade. His chicken scratch is testemony to the fact that he slipped through the cracks, and never really learned it at all!

Does anyone think the Colts have a chance in this game? All I've been reading is how the Colts are going to get blown out. I am not guaranteeing a Colts victory but I think the Colts have a chance in this game. I do not believe it will be a blow out either way. Yes. Of course the Colts do. They are...

My 2¢... I first heard about this story on the radio , while traveling. My first thought was 'What were they thinking ? Why would Six Flag name a kids' program a P arrothead Club?' When I returned home I read about it. Only then did I realize it was a C arrothead Club. I suspect that is the crux of ...
