Since sears is part of kmart. The powers that be don't need the building that houses the sears site. Thats what I have heard. The land for pop creek could be used for concerts, but the building is worth more being used for offices :( I saw my first Jimmy show there. They aint gonna tear down Sears-...

but its gonna be way to small to hold shows---only 20,000 capacity. I don't know about that... The local arena (Gwinnett Civic Center) only holds 13k+ for sports, but it is around 20-30k for concerts. I've seen quite a few there (George Strait, Alan Jackson, etc.) and it was great. You had a view f...

I agree, not any good alternatives in the immediate area. A rebuilt Poplar would be interesting, but Tinley is a good venue, imho. Good in being able to fit a lot of people in it. Good because it is right off two major interstates. Bad - Acoustics are the worst for any outdoor barn I have ever been...

The new stadium they are building for the Fire which will be open next year, will be used for concerts too---but its gonna be way to small to hold shows---only 20,000 capacity. And before people start saying anything---for out here that is NOTHING. Tinley Park has the capacity of close to 40,000 for...

Sad News

I was just informed tonight by my mother who works with someone who does part time security work for the Tweeter Center in Tinley Park.

The Venue is up for sale, and may not remain standing depending on who buys it.

Same goes for Alpine too which he will do work at if they have concerts.

But when wants to buy a car (he bought 3 this year) that's an investment. Last time I'm goi...

If it helps---Tell her everything looks better on HD, and even better on LCD---even p*** LOL I couldn't agree more. HD definately DOES make a huge difference. You've got to watch a Monday Night Football game on HD - it's incredible. Even if the teams playing stink, and I don't like either, I still ...

go with an LG LCD sure it may cost you a lil more---but the quality and life you will get out of this tv will be far more worth then the amount you spend on a plasma.
