I'm back again. I had a thought in all this. Remmber this list: http://origin-www.thesmokinggun.com/backstagetour It is a fifteen page document of the specifics Bubba wants to have at his show backstage, onsteage, before and after a performance. So, question is: Would we be responsible for that or ...

Matt, I think the costs that kill ya are in the section after that - renter is responsible for insurance policy ($1,000,000), damage deposit, cost of all labor (union stage hands, security, police, fire and ambulence, ushers, etc). Plus with a reserved capacty of 8694, you're looking at $115 a piec...

I've only read through page 4 but OMG YOU GUYS ARE GETTING ME SOOO EXCITED... Is Red Rocks where we're gonna try and go? This sounds really awsome. Pardon me for not knowing, but where is Red Rocks? I'm from the Cleveland area and am not sure where that is. I'd be in! Denver. Easily reached by Cont...

Yup, that seems like the obvious choice.

As long as we don't have to cavort in the mud! :)
I believe that name is already taken... little event in SC every summer.

really good points being discussed here . .and in a very good manner. . now, let's recap . . * we are hoping to put together a show for Bn'ers and invited guests only . . the best seats go to us . . .and only us . . * the choices will be a collective agreement of BN only . . no outside influences ....

read thru some of this thread and havn't seen this question asked (if it has I apologize). Why would Jimmy Buffett want to do this? Isn't this just another concert to him in a large venue? I realize he does intimate shows on the beach in theatres etc... but those are for 1,000 people. If he wanted ...

It is not up to the venue and/or Jimmy. Or at least on the level of Peter Mayer (Im assuming JB works the same way), in putting together a concert there are 3 organizations represented. 1) The artist has his demands (everything spelled out in the rider, and the $), 2) The venue has their demands ($...

What I don't get is how we can consider this intimate if there are going to be over 10,000 people there? How will this be any better to us than any other show? Again, I haven't read through the thread so maybe this has been asked too... Simple, you'd be sitting next to me! How much more intimate ca...

First I have to say I'm excited and proud to be a BNr. If this can be pulled off it could start a trend elsewhere. Thoughts on venues... Cruise ships are too small. Even the largest max out at about 4,000 guests. Tailgating is as important as the event, so the venue must be an easygoing place. How ...

I agree with Wannabejane. I'd pay $100/ticket in advance to help the cause if I knew this was going to happen. It sound like we just need to see what HK Management says and we'll know how quickly the ball can get rolling. Exactly. Once we get that info, put your hard hats on because we've got a lot...

I was kidding about the post count, but here's a thought.... If this is "our" JB show, BNers who were members the day BEFORE the idea was posted should be the ones who get tickets. If we need to sell more tickets to make it fly financially, BNers should still get priority. Just a thought....

What we need is someone - or a team - to oversee everything. The problem with something like this is having too many people pulling in too many directions. Maybe those folks who are interested could forward their names to a moderator (or other volunteer) who could then name a formal committee (mayb...
