American Graffiti for high school in a way, The Graduate for college, and Good Morning Vietnam for a bitter sense of the way we felt.
But the movie I remember loving most was a Brit flick called Georgy Girl.

Do you run? Check out the Hash House Harriers and see if they have a chapter there.... there are over 1600 all over the world (and, no, those of you in NA, 'hash' here does not mean ganja, but refers to a diner type restaurant where the first club was started in Maylasia back in the 1930s). If they ...

I just LIKE it! I just GOT it! My Jimmy just brought it down here, just back from his latest trip to CAL... ok so we islanders are a little slow to catch up... it's a great album. The sound is so fresh, the new twists on old songs are clever, just HEARING some of those old songs re done is cool, and...

Rotation -- jazz, Jimmy, Bob Marley, jazz.... maybe some classic Beach Boys or Handel thrown in.

Several of the Windies are of Indian background also. In fact, here in Trinidad, 40% of the population is Indian. But the Aussies tend to be very fierce when they come here, and nobody is happy over the dismissal of the Jamaican ref down South Africa recently. Cricket has recently seemed to lose som...

Well I don't entirely understand it! We have watched a little... we used to live across the street from Sir Garfield Sobers in B'dos! (He is nice!) My Jimmy understands it better. It is popular here, but not as popular as on some of the other islands. There is more village cricket on some of the isl...

Congratulations, Jenny! Keep your chin up! But remember, a lot of the negativity on BN right now is that so many people in the US are SO unhappy right now; economy, climate, current administration, housing slump, summer (and any upcoming JB tour) so far away, Christmas is over, only New England team...

NO they don't teach geography in the US. In fact many Americans are not sure where New England is, and recently it was reported that some thought they needed passports to go to New Mexico. If you aren't sure where St. Louis is, you are going to have an awfully hard time with London or Hong Kong.

We took the high speed train through the chunnel London to Paris and back a couple years ago, and we also used BritRail extensively which works the same way; our nephew used the EuroRail a couple years ago... but pretty sure you have to buy it BEFORE you leave the US or Canada. Remember that all the...
