Were in Prague for a week+ in 2005, LOVED it, staying with state department relatives so we really got to see and do things. The Tyn church lit at night. The sekt! (it's enough to make you give up rum) Karlovy Vary, too, and the countryside. Pilsner beer got started in CZ. Also loved Bavaria. Wanna ...

They're so far behind in reprocessing that you had better send it for renewal about 4 months ahead, and keep pictures of it! (PS fun... they will send you back your old one too with holes punched in it, as a keepsake so you can see all your entry and exit stamps) Also, some countries, when you enter...

Well at the time young Chris got it, his parents were told it was from giving aspirin during or just after a bout of flu or chicken pox. That's why it's better to get the kid a flu shot and a chicken pox shot. And it affects kids as old as 19 and as young as 6 months. Chris survived altho' at first ...

The chickenpox shot is to avoid complications of Reyes Syndrome which can kill the child very rapidly. It is a post flu, post chicken pox secondary infection. And we knew a child who nearly died of it. Get the shot!

Almond in Barbados is very nice, if a little remote from the island's main towns. Has beach, pools, golf, proximity to marina, lovely location... try to get into nearby Speightstown for galleries and food. Port St. Charles, next door, has a great restaurant, too. Also, just up the road, the Fish Pot...

It has to be the sort of drink that would be served on a sailboat or a cruise ship, any sort of drink that would go well with a paper umbrella. It can be a virtual paper umbrella.
My favorite is the Yellow Bird, as made at the Frangipani Hotel bar on Bequia.
But usually just drink rum and cola.

There is no OSHA in the Caribbean. Adults are expected not to get themselves hurt... on the other hand, don't expect to sue if you do do something dumb. We actually had a private tour (with my sis and her hubby who were visiting us at the time) of the actual Mt. Gay distillery up in the cane fields ...

my Jimmy is currently on Trinidad, and he says the Royal Oak there is as good as the Mount Gay Extra Old on B'dos or the Doorly's on B'dos. There is an article in this month's Caribbean Travel & Life on boutique rums on some of the French islands, I think maybe Martinique, which is of course cur...

Here is the traditional one, from the land "where de rum come from". The formula is written on everything there... one of sour (shot of key lime juice, hopefully freshly squeezed) two of sweet (two shots of bar syrup, simple syrup, or Falernum for extra !) three of strong (three shots of G...
