Try Seaside or Grayton Beach, really lovely. Have also stayed at Sandestin resort as well as above, very big but was very nice. Liked the treehouse sort of bar there.

Nonsense! Our oldest flew to Louisiana when she was 2 and was no trouble. And this was pre car seats on board. She flew alone to UK when 9 to see her cousins, too. What you want are the bulkhead seats more space so that your child can have space to play, and to explain to the child ahead what will h...

Restaurants

Bubble Room on Captiva. And Tween Waters inn to stay.

And go shelling at night with a flashlight, you get more.

Key West -- restaurant -- Blue Heaven -- the most Caribbean place we have ever eaten outside the Caribbean... even has the necessary chickens underfoot.

You Must Must visit Maker's Mark... the best little distillery ever. So beautiful And you can dip your own souvenir, about a pint, bottle in the wax and sign it. Pot stills. Also we toured and enjoyed Evan Williams. Two different trips. Also, the house known as My Old Kentucky Home is beautiful with...

Yep been there, ate cheeseburgers, played frisbee. It doesn't really have any beaches. Saw dolphins from the dock, tho'. Daughter pinned up her dollar bill under John F. Kennedy Jr,'s dollar bill, once in a while she wonders if it is still there. Neat little place.

St Lucia is a wonderful island... we vacationed there a couple times when we were living on Barbados, but WHY would you chose an "all inclusive" on an island that has so many neat places to eat and visit? You MUST go to Dasheene on the cliff between the Pitons. Ask for the Most Romantic Ta...

Who the hell is Ashlee (Ashley?) Simpson? The thing that struck us the most about JB, the first time we saw him in concert, was that he walked out barefoot alone, with an acoustic (12 string?) and played and sang solo with NO band. We said, heck he really CAN play! It was a revelation. (We had been ...

Rum Ramsey

But don't expect to again, unless the Bon Ton has re opened in New Orleans, as the recipe was secret and unique to them.

Also, haven't had a Mint Julep or a Sazarec in a long time.

For those who can't get over the sea, there's a Duke's at the pier in Huntington Beach, too! They even have his statue at the surfing museum, you can hang a lei or a t shirt on it if you like. Have heard there's one up in Malibu, too, but we don't go to those ugly beaches and that ugly stretch of PC...

Lived there 2 years. God, do we miss our island! Well, it depends on what you have to spend. West Coast is always more expensive than the South Coast. North shore is unsafe, rocky sea caves, East Coast has very good surfing for experienced surfers, long beaches but most not good for surfing. To do: ...

Absolutely the best is Delsey's super light line, which is indeed found in department stores but is nearly always on sale. It really lasts, is not nearly as heavy as LL Bean or Land's End, and is really light, with pockets and all kinds of features. We have travelled years and thousands of miles wit...

Mt. Gay Eclipse on the rocks is fine, but it's better as a mixer. The Sugar Cane Brandy is potent... the best is the Mt. Gay Extra Old. We've been there... nice beaches, and the most pristine salt/fresh lagoons, you tour them in small boats, but it's overall pretty poor. Friendly people. Pearls (Margarita means 'pearl'.) More Caribbean than South American. Not particularly resortish. It probably is pretty cheap. They are used to tou...
