It has an upbeat tempo, but the lyrics are depressing as hell, that's why I gave up Springsteen music in college and got into Buffett, Springsteen's songs made me want to kill myself and Buffett's make me want to go to the ocean and have a party....you do the Math. Enjoyed this one too. My 10 yo read it first and encouraged me to read it. More of a kid's book much like Hoot.
