One summer in college I was going on a float trip with some friends. We made the mistake of giving the beer money to our resident binge drinker. He came back from the store with the now infamous line, "Hey, guys, check it out. For the price of one case of Bud, I got two cases of Schlitz Ice Lig...

There is definitely more of a country "feel" than some of his recent albums, but I wouldn't call it a country album. I think that he has, once again, woven together a musical style that defies categorization. It's not a rock album or a country album--it's just a Jimmy Buffett album! :D

OK, here's the latest: since I haven't been able to get ahold of chartroombar, who is ahead of me on the list and supposedly gotten the CDs in May, Fool Button has been kind enough to offer to re-start the vine by sending CDs straight to me. I've given him my address and, once I get them, I'll burn ...

The only time I've ever left early involved waaaaaaay too much tequila (trust me, "or not quite enough" is not an option). Not my finest moment.

Some people leave early to beat the traffic; I prefer to just re-start the tailgating for an hour or two while traffic clears out.

That would certainly explain a lot. Some friends and I went there for dinner tonight and let's just say that the service left quite a bit to be desired.

Last year a buddy of mine loaded his big backyard propane grill into his Jeep and brought it. No problems at all--the cops didn't even look twice. In my experiences there, the cops at Nissan are pretty cool. They tell you to put your drinks in cups (no bottles) but, unless you're making a complete a...

I've tried several different recipes for homeade wing sauces, but I keep coming back to Texas Pete's brand straight off the shelf from the grocery store. Just the right amount of spice for me--they don't taste that spicy at first, but after a few you notice yourself starting to sweat. :) And speakin...

Glad to find someone else who appreciates some good Texas and Red Dirt music. When I first saw the list, I was actually thinking of something for Cross Canadian Ragweed, but the Stragglers will fill in quite nicely.

Pretty cool. Somebody really put some thought into that. I would have two additions: #1: The intro of Guns N' Roses "Welcome to the Jungle." Between Slash's guitar and Axl's "oh my god" lead-in, you know you're about to get kicked in the head . . . and like it. #2: The instrument...

For a less high-tech method, when I lived in Oklahoma City, there was one sleazy broker there that used to pay homeless people to camp out the night before to have the first spots in the line.

I always take any reviews with a grain of salt, but FWIW, the CNN reviewer says its better than the first.
