Attendance hasn't been affected any and the bottom line now in college athletics is $$$$$, if Penn State was only drawing 50,000 a game instead of 105,000 or whatever it held he would have been gone a long time ago. Look at Nebraska their coach went 9-3 or 9-4 went to a good bowl game and his prese...

Re: Virginia DMV is now accepting orders

Those of you who ordered personalized plates will have a slight delay in receiving them. Since they're customized based on your applications they can't be prestamped like the generic plates. I know it's hard when others are getting theirs but there's nothing I can do. My wife's in the same boat and...

Buffett in God's Country. Man, I'm jealous, but have a great time! Wish I could be back there again. Where are you from? I was born in North Platte, lived in Colorado for a few years, moved back to Omaha, then to Oklahoma City and I now live in Virginia. I have two degrees from the University of Ok...

Chesney had already established himself as a country star and sold over 10 million albums long before these latest "Buffettesque" releases. So I think it's inaccurate to accuse him of "riding the coattails" of Buffett. Why is it so hard to believe that Chesney could actually be a...

The new Batman movie with Christian Bale is gonna rule. No more crappy Joel Schumacher movies with the smiling, laughing George Clooney Batman. WOW!! I sound like a geek. :( Then count me in as your geek-in-arms. Batman is supposed to be a dark, brooding, seriously-messed-up-in-the-head kind...

Personally I think Oregon should have been playing Miami at the Rose Bowl for the National Championship instead of Nebraska. They had two conference losses, we only had one. Darn West Coast Bias. Just a quick correction--Nebraska only had one loss. But even as a Nebraska fan, I'll agree that Oregon...

He was backed by an outstanding band that included his daughter Tina Rose who seems to be destined for her own remarkable career someday. It must run in the family. I saw Leon Russell a few years ago (opening for Merle Haggard in Muskogee, OK :D ) and I remeber thinking then how good (and good-look...
