Great Woods (25 miles south east of Boston - very roughly) is, BY FAR, the best place to see Jimmy . . . . that being said while you are in town you NEED to get to: 1. Jake Ivory's on Landsdowne literally just outside of Fenway Park 2. Fenway Park - duh! HE BROKE THE CURSE 3. If you cannot get/ affo...

Best New England Beaches

We finally had a rain free Saturday up here in New England and I took full advantage. I took my dad sailing up around Gloucester by Wingarsheek Beach for Father's Day which is one of my all time favorite beaches - anywhere. Just wondering, since Great Woods is right around the corner, what my fellow...

Mohegan Sun

I realize that there is no such thing as a bad time at a Buffett show; but is Mohegan Sun worth it? I never miss Great Woods . . . and have seen Jimmy all over. I was thinking of heading over to CT for the weekend coming up and try to score a ticket. Itching to get out with the Phlock - know what I ...

Just to clarify: "Best Parking Lot". I have seen Jimmy all over, and he only says it at Great Woods. Doesn't matter, though. Parrotheads rule everywhere! That is something, I think, even Sox/ Yanks fans can agree on. Didn't mean to be arrogant - but Great Woods really is special. All parking lots ar...

The truth is this: the owner of the Minnesota Twins (as just ONE example) could buy out Steinbrenner and John Henry 10 times over. Look it up. The fact that the Yankees owner and the Sox owner choose (key word, there - "choose") to spend huge amounts of money to make the fans happy, to me, is great....

No one is trying to force anything on anybody. It is a great rivalry. One of the best of all time and it has captured interest in many from all over the world. No one says you have to care . . . personally, I was glad to see the White Sox finally win one last year and I hope that the Cubbies get to ...

Ipswitch!!!! How could I forget that!!!! And, not sure about you Yankee fans as of late . . . they have made some seriously horrible moves (Jaret Wright, Carl Pavano, even Randy Johnson) but I will say this: there is nothing better - sorry Jimmy, not even a Saturday at Great Woods - nothing better t...

Yawkey Way

Of the 4 roads that surround Fenway Park (Brookline Avenue. Van Ness, Lansdowne Steet, and Yawkey Way) Yawkey was is the only road that is closed to traffic during Sox games . . . although all 4 should be because of an enormous vloume of foot traffic. Yawkey Way is named after the guy and family who...
