Do You Think??

Post by MICHIPHIN »

There has obviously been a long time since the last tour was "cut short". And in that time there has been the loss of JJW. Do you think that when Jimmy hits the road again with a full tour that he will do a tribute to JJW and maybe a version of "Bo Jangles"? I think it would be fitting and an honor well deserved.

Just my two cents.

He did "Take It Easy" for almost 3 years after Glenn Frey died, I hope he does a Jerry Jeff song. Any Jerry Jeff song, I don't care which one.

A tribute to JJW would be a nice addition to the setlist.

Railroad Lady would be my second choice, but I'd really like to hear "Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother"

I posted this elsewhere, but how about a Parrot Head version of Up Against the Wall Redneck Mothers?

T is for Tequila
H is for Heinz 57
E is for Envy (do not Envy your neighbor's wife's Margarita)
R is for Reefer (Coral that is)

Agree, Bo Jangles would be lovely. Just imagine what Robert could do with the pans on that...

Yes that would make sense. I can think of two regular covers I could do without in favor of a JJW cover.

While I love JJW’s more popular songs, there are some gems hidden in his catalog. I like the Cowboy Boots & Bathin’ Suits album, and I find myself tapping my feet to his last album, It’s About Time, a lot.

Railroad Lady is the best bet as Jimmy and Jerry Jeff co-wrote that song for Jimmy's album A White Sport Coat and Pink Crustacean.

Also Jimmy has not performed that song live since 05-28-2016 in Frisco Texas

Railroad Lady makes sense logically but I'm rooting for BoJangles emotionally.

After hearing JB and Mac do "Sangria Wine" on the JJW Tribute Show the other night on the Margaritaville channel, I think it would be a good choice. We all love Sangria Wine, don't we?

I'm holding out for Bojangles. Maybe a medley with some other stuff but I can already hear this in my head. 8)

I could see Tin Cup Chalice closing the shows. Without that drive to Key West, none of this happens. One road trip can change your life.

I would love this closing, especially acoustic!

This is so true. But it's also a pretty frequent staple on tour.

Maybe a JJW medley?
