A Heretic's Setlist

Post by saltymon »

I know this is going to take a lot of flack, but here goes...
I'd love to see a tour where Jimmy doesn't play some of the chesnuts. He could give songs like SOASOAS, CIP, Margaritaville, WDWGDAS and some others a rest. I know that some people would have a coronary if they paid to see him and he didn't play certain songs. But I'd love to see him dust off some real oldies.
Here's a setlist I'd love to see:
Pascagoula Run
Piece of Work
Someone I Used to Love
School Boy Heart
Take Another Road
Coast of Carolina
Fruitcakes
Cousin in Miami
We Are The People
Permanent Reminder
Pacing the Cage
I Will Work For Gumbo
Public Relations
Only Time Will Tell
Banana Wind
Bob Roberts Society Band
Barometer Soup
-encore-
She's Got You
Quietly Making Noise
-2nd encore-
Boomerang Love
No Plane On Sunday

Wlecome aboard!! Looks like a great set list to me. I think the SYKBH crowd would block Jimmy's bus if he didn't play Margaritaville and Fins. I could certainly do without Volcano, CIP, and Fins at at least one concert in my life.

Some people never find it, some only pretend; but me, I just want to live happily ever after every now and then.

:D

Here Here

To be honest I'd like to see Jimmy's Bank accounts blocked(voluntarily) and let him take about three months to get the starving artist thing going again

Then DAMN what a show and album!

kind of an island version of the movie
"pure country" back to the roots

Love his shows now and LTC is killer but he always says that his shows would be diffrent if he played what he wants, he plays for the fans

I am a fan I say take a risk and if we do not like it give us the Bird :P

and not the parrot! :D He certainly wouldn't starve! :D

That would actually be a neat question for the Ask Jimmy...What set list would you play if you could choose anything you wanted? Then, it would be awsome to hear that set list!!

I have said for years I would love to see him do a "Songs You Don't Know By Heart" tour. It was a lot more fun back in the day when you had no idea what he was going to play.

Stammering and singing the lost verse of Margaritaville twice does not count as separate songs for encore purposes...
