There are some valid points here....

I don't mind people singing, even singing loudly on the songs that rock, but I really don't want an off-key rendition of every song screamed in my ear..... You can always lip synch it..... :D

Cell phones..... got no problem with people who make calls and just let other end listen, but don't be yakking on the thing..... ROOOOD......

Cell phones during intermission? Hey, it's intermission.... don't get too worked up about it.....

The crowds have gotten much worse lately. The last show in Vegas, we had very loud obnoxious guy actually escorted out by security. We also had a group that ripped a towel dispenser off the wall of the mens room and brought it back to their seats. I don't mind the singing and dancing. The stupidity does annoy me and I thought pot and alcohol was supposed to mellow you out.

i was at the beach show and will say were i was sitting (section 4L) rudeness was all around a problem.first of all the section was way to noisy(cell phones, talking, people walking around) that we couldnt even hear jimmy.i understand that where we were sitting was under the overhang of the newer addition but the sound just flat out sucked! i've seen jimmy at jones beach several times and always feel somewhat let down compared to the other venues he plays.i saw the mohegan show and that was amazing and will be at the saturday great woods show as well(which is always great).maybe this is pretzel logic here but is the fact that they dont serve beer at jones beach part of the problem?

My biggest problem was that so many people went NUTS over the BEG encore. That means he'll keep $#)(*$ closing with it!!!!!

Otherwise, a great show, great time.

I don't think people should be stone silent during the shows. Hell, it's great to be animated and lively. But when you have people (like I did Saturday at Jones Beach) that spend the whole show yammerin' on about this or that loudly with each other, making and taking phone calls and generally being a pain in the a** to those around them, why not call them on it and tell 'em to knock it off and take it back to the lots?
The way I see it, everyone pays the same price to see a show, as long as you aren't committing murder, and are having fun, I don't really care what you do.
Fall semester in a Southern college town has little to do with studying and more to do with football and fraternity rush. I didn't know much about the football team. Hell at that time I was really an Ole Miss fan and to this day I still cant figure out why I didn’t enroll at the U of Mississippi-JB

Personally, I've always liked BEG and Southern Cross, and one of them is OK during the encore, preferrably not the last song though...

I like the songs, but given the fairly extensive catalog of his own songs he has I don't see the need for them. I'd rather he put in more of his own songs, things that perhaps he hasn't played in concert for a long time.

Agreed. I like Southern Cross more than BEG though, so I'd rather see BEG dropped. Southern Cross was just electric Saturday at Jones beach. BEG, ehhhh, not so much.

also agree-while southern cross is one of my favorite Buffett covers and songs ever=-stil want to hear more buffett-(at least he didn't play Purple Rain)--loved the cover of the Lyle Lovett song "If I had a Boat"
I want to go back to the island,
Where the shrimp boats tie up to the pilin'.
Give me oysters and beer for dinner ev'ry day of the year

Nothing against covers. Love Southern Cross and Begonias.

But BEG is a song I like enough not to skip on a CD....sometimes. But when you look forward to a show for four months, it's not what you want to hear as a closer.
