Post by LesPaul30 »

***just saw this hit the news wires.....pretty cool given how he has cut down his number of shows compared to the other artists listed!

LOS ANGELES, July 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer
Band's national concert tour was the "most requested event" in the first half
of 2006 according to Ticketmaster, the world's leading ticketing company.
Following closely behind on the chart ranked by online page views, information
requests, and ticket sales from 1/1/06 - 6/30/06 were Tim McGraw and Faith
Hill's Soul2Soul II. tour and Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Oz.

"Jimmy Buffett as well as Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's Soul2Soul II. tour
have consistently ranked as the nation's most requested events each week
throughout the first half of 2006," said Ticketmaster's Sean Moriarty. "And
Wicked's position at #3 illustrates the enormous success of these compelling
Broadway and theatrical touring performances."

Castro is still playing in Cuba, but the homefield advantage isn't what it used to be.

I wish Jimmy wasn't even in the top 10....it would be a little easier for me to get tix!
We used to laugh at Grandpa when he'd head off and go fishing. But we wouldn't
be laughing that evening when he'd come back with some whore he picked up in
town.

He would only be in the top 20 if i wasn't checking every 10 minutes to see when Vegas tickets go on sale. :)

Not surprising, considering the price of tickets. Anyone know where JB's ticket prices are, relative to the other acts in the top ten?

When I saw Billy Joel I was behind the stage. I don't remember how much the tickets were, they went on sale last year, but it was more than a lawn ticket for Buffett. I want to say somewhere in the $55-$65 range but I'm not sure.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here
