Well...if Colonel Cairo isn't black, I think Christopher Walken could pull it off...He does "psycho-badass" extremely well!!sonofabeach wrote:Colonol Cairo was black?jeff e wrote:Louis Gossett Jr as Colonel Cairo.
I've read it twice and don't remember that. Silly me. I'll have to read it again
btw I think that Val Kilmer would be a good Charlie Fabian/Joe Merchant.

I get that feeling. I guess it could be the ferrari, or the constant Selleck name dropping on random threads. . .citcat wrote:[gee...you think maybe SGH kinda maybe has said in the past, that she MIGHT like Tom Selleck? I'm not sure but maybe.....

No flying boats but the new Superman movie has a seaplane!JustDucky wrote:I did lighten up. I said I hope I am wrong. Wasn't it obvious?
I'd like to see the movie done so there's an actual flying boat on the movie screen and in the movie poster in the Twentyhundreds. It might be the first movie to feature a flying boat in it for the first time in the Twentyhundreds.
Although I haven't seen - are there any seaplanes/flying boats in Hoot? Or any other movies released in the last five years?
It actually has quite a big part in the movie!!

Yea I'm kinda hoping for that. Maybe a gentle reminder to Man about a great story he wrote years ago. When you have the drive and ambition that Jimmy does I'm sure there are many things occupying your thoughts, time, and energy. As for Tom Selleck if he's in the movie can we find a part for Mr. Higgins? That would be funny and warped.12vmanRick wrote:good luck on your quest
others have tried and failed
I personally hope someone can get this through to Jimmy. There are surely people on this board with connections!!!!

Years ago Buffett began filming a movie entitled Margaritaville but like Joe Merchant after it, it got shelved. I forget the exact reasons behind it but Joe Merchant was scheduled for filming but got sidelined. Since we've heard little to nothing about it since I imagine it's time has come and gone.
