not that most give a ***** what I say but the prices are ridiculous and have been for a while.

If you can afford the price then good for ya, shut the ***** up and go and if you can't afford the price the shut the ***** up and let someone else have your ticket that is willing to pay.

$126/365 = a cost $.34 a day...are you trying to tell me that you cant spend accordingly to save $.34 a day on items you would buy? Instead of buying that Double Big gulp every day buy the big gulp...instead of buying that cookie at lunch, dont(your body will appreciate it too)...instead of sending a letter via the mail send an e-mail..heck, sign up for bank of america's "keep the change" program where your "change" is allocated to your savings account. I saved $175 this past year because of this...

stop hating on JB...he is just like any other american wanting to make bank

I'll take you up on that one dude.. and I'll pay the $125, $150, $200 or $1000 if the venue merits because Jimmy is the ONLY "must see" every year.

Well the ToplessFl Sunny Jim show was a once missed never again thing

This statement I don't understand, Jimmy and the band do get the money that they charge for a preformance. How does charging more money, get them more then what they charge?
What I meant was that rather than ticket brokers/scalpers make the money on the higher priced tickets, Jimmy and the Band should make the money. If the prices were lower, more people would buy them and scalp them to Parrotheads who could afford more expensive tickets.
Make sense?

Premium tickets on StubHub, GreatSeats, etc. are going for $1000 per ticket. The brokers are the ones with the good seats and are the ones making the extra bucks.

Who do you think is getting those tickets to the brokers? I had a broker tell me he could put me in the same 2 seats for every show Jimmy did one year. He wasn't standing in line and by chance getting the same seats. He was buying those tickets BEFORE they went on sale to the public!

Yep, someone inside was selling tickets!

Surprised? don't be.

So what your saying is Jimmy and the band, because they have the front row seats should sell them for more and make more money off of them? Maybe like 1000 a seat up front in the pit?

Does the term scalper come to mind? :o :o

Your roght Wayne. $120 for a ticket is nothing when you start adding up ALL the other expense. Even for me to drive to Charlotte or Atlanta, it's the tailgating party that cost the most in food and drinks. BUT I wouldn't change it for the world. And I'll do it, lord willing, again this year. :D :D

BTW folks, here was my source to say the Gillette shows sold out in an hour (including pre-sales). I got this off Google News and it's from the Attleboro, MA Sun Times:

Buffett sells out

Tuesday, February 27, 2007 1:27 PM EST

FOXBORO - Tickets for Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band's two September shows at Gillette Stadium went on sale at 10 a.m. Monday and were gone by 11 a.m., Kraft Entertainment announced.

The shows - Sunday, Sept. 2 and Saturday, Sept. 8 - will be Buffett's first at Gillette.
Since opening in 2002, Gillette Stadium has hosted the Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Green Day and Metallica.
