The official 2008 Play "Turning Around" in Detroit thread
I start this every year when the Pine Knob show gets close just in hopes that Jimmy will read this and finally play this song live in Michigan!

A few years back in Tinley Park, I was sitting first row and at the beginning of Math Suks, I told my sister, 'this song suks.' Jimmy just happened to look right at me as I saying that. I felt a little bad getting caught , but that song does s***.UpstateNYPH wrote:I'm sorry, he has already promised to add "Math Suks" into the set-list, and there just isnt any more room for terrible songs.

Nope your going to get "Take it Back". That song might be as bad as "Math Sucks".

YES!! But I do like Werewolves.sonofabeach wrote:maybe he'll pay "Werewolves of London" again and follow it with "Elvis Immitators".......and then bring down the house with the "Hokey Pokey" song
Not sure if you know this or if you are a Steve Goodman fan, but as bad as "Elvis Immitators" is, there is kind of a joke about that song. It was so bad, and originally written by Jimmy and Steve Goodman, that it was kind of a dare by Goodman for Jimmy to record it. But Jimmy wouldn't "admit" it at first and said it was Marvin Gardens and crew who did it.

Actually I do like Elvis Immitators. It's a fun song & I think Jimmy does a pretty good King impersonation. It's one that had to grow on me.

Anybody besides me hear the opening riffs of the Kid Rock song "All Summer Long", and get ticked off because it *ISN'T* "Werewolves"??HD18JBGuy wrote:Ahhh Woooooo...yeah its a little weird. As far as I'm concerned, he owes at least a co-writer credit to Warren.

Yes, me too. And what I find even funnier is that people think that riff is attributable to Lynard Skynard. Poor Warren...like Rodney, "no respect".Bicycle Bill wrote:Anybody besides me hear the opening riffs of the Kid Rock song "All Summer Long", and get ticked off because it *ISN'T* "Werewolves"??HD18JBGuy wrote:Ahhh Woooooo...yeah its a little weird. Re: The official 2008 Play "Turning Around" in Detroit
It's the way Jimmy sings the chorus in Werewolves that I hate.
& I'm sure Kid Rock had to give up some $$ to both Skynyrd and Zevon for that song.
Possibly Steve Miller too.
I would not mind hearing "Take it Back" or "Turning Around".

I don't like Werewolves....do like his version of "Lawyers, Guns, and Money"....I enjoy "Elvis Immitators", thanks for the backgroundHD18JBGuy wrote:YES!!
