As a matter of fact, I have decided that I DON'T want Jimmy to play Nautical Wheelers this year. Yeah that's right. You heard me. I don't care if he plays it because I have no interest in hearing it.

Tig beat me to the punch...reverse psychology....very smart!
oh, I dunno. I have always thought hearing "drunken girlfriend" would be fun. Even if he played a few bars of the intro; just enough to get those of us in the know to go, "is that...." that would be worth it to me
Something special for me this summer would be for all my friends who understand the thrill of a concert and were unable to get tickets to be able to get tickets at face value. And for all the people who have tickets only because it seems to be the "in" thing to do to give them up and just not waste my time by getting to the parking lot early , setting up your speakers, playing "dance music" and complaining about us playing Buffett and trop rock. Call me old fashioned, but seeing a bunch of people there to get drunk and complain about "that music" being played by the people next to them just ruins it for me.....Oh, and while I am at it...Stillettos were never EVER meant to be worn to a Buffett concert. Not even if you have a coconut bra and grass skirt on over your bikini.....and if you only know the chorus to "Margaritaville" you are NOT a Parrothead, even if you have front row seats just because you know someone who works for someone who was able to get tickets....
thanks I feel so much better now.....
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......

Last year at The Lube he did Brahma Fear. In the 100+ JB concerts I've been to, that was the first time I ever heard it live. I turned to the people next to me and said "I can't believe he's doing Brahma Fear." They said "What?"

That was because you had too much too drink and it came out like "I coz.... beef.... ramadan..... arf" and then you threw up in your hat.

I had the same reaction......one person near me said it must be something from a "new, upcoming" album!
On most days I say: "Wrinkles only go where the smiles have been...."
Sometimes I can only say: "There is no dumbass vaccine......"
If something or someone gets you down, just remember: "In a hundred years it all won’t matter.........."

Maybe you had to be there. Or maybe it's one of those "either you get it or you don't" things.
Ahhhh .... Gotcha. Well see NOW it makes sense to me
and I can forgive the OPP reference.
Heaven knows I make enough obscure pop culture
references in the BN Critters
that you either "get" or you don't.
My wife never "gets" anything I write.
I have the same problem .... apparently a lot of things are way funnier inside my head than outside.
Now *that* is funny. Funny because I suffer the same affliction and can totally relate!!!
Hoist up the mainsail...add a little BAM to the ginger ale...

He played Brahma Fear in Raleigh ('97) I believe. I missed it. First time in years I didn't make both Raleigh shows in the '90s and he played one of my favs. Still stings!

That comment is gold and almost made me spit out my Fritos.

That is the only Motorhead song I know and if it weren't for the tv show "The Young Ones" I wouldn't know that one LOL I love that show, brings back great memories of college....

Jimmy doing Ace of Spades? Now that WOULD be something! The great Lemmy (lead singer of Motorhead) when asked about his childhood one time replied, "I come from a broken home.I broke it." Pure comedy gold.
For me,going to the Paris shows each year we get to hear a few you wouldnt ordinarily hear Stateside so thats good but I WOULD love him to do Coast Of Marseilles or When The Coast Is Clear.
