JB Concert Pre-Parties

Post by SoILPrtHed »

Just got back from Chicago this past weekend and have read a bunch about the concert venue....I think we have read enough here and other places about it so I will let that one go. My question is about the Margaritaville Pre-Parties. Now I have been to 3 of them and do not get me wrong....I have enjoyed them, but think they could be better. Being that they are about getting us ready for JB ad his music......there is always just something missing that keeps them from being great. The bands that have played aren't the problem, but before, between and after the band plays things could be a little more Margaritaville-like.....and what better way than have someone from Radio Margaritaville there. Of all the people who could entertain and get us ready for our Escape to St. Somewhere or whatever travels Jimmy is taking us on than those that keep his style of music cranking out to us everyday. For instance, I know that when he is not in the Parrot Perch in Orlando...JD Spradlin is a DJ/MC for a variety of events. And those that listen to all of the talents on RM know and like something about each and everyone of them and would probably love for them to be a part of the Pre-Parties. I'm not sure why they haven't been included, but I think it would only enhance these great events if they were. Maybe someone in BN Land has an answer. Just a suggestion, but one that I think all of us might enjoy and help make a JB weekend even more special and fun!

Having Radio Margaritaville and Kirsten broadcasting before the Bossier City Grand Opening Show was special. She had her area set up on the stage at Margaritaville Cafe. The preshow was broadcast throughout the resort. Special.

It was also fun to visit the Margaritaville Bus and games before the shows. Sara and Travis did a great job with trivia.

That is exactly what I am talking about. Now I don't expect it all the shows, but when there is an advertised Margaritaville Pre-Party announced (Nashville, Chicago...Im sure others)....it would be great for RM to be there. As much I am sure we all, at least maybe a bunch of us, listen to RM...it would be great to see the faces of the people who bring us the music. So glad you had a great time!

I'm not sure anyone really cared about entertainment at the preparty. I didn't even notice Kirsten when I first walked in the cafe. She was not in the main bar/party area.

Having RM preshow music is what I enjoyed. That's what I like listening to at the tailgates too.
