Two weeks until the "Opphicial" start of summer. Happy bout that. Hopeful for a productive work week. Have a Tacos & Tequila event coming up this Saturday....featuring the band War in concert. Looking forward to hearing The Cisco Kid & other hits by those guys!

Good morning!

I got nuthin special going on today. Same old work crap but I’m taking tomorrow and Wednesday off so there’s that. Will be painting grandsons Eli’s bedroom and doing not much else.

Good morning.

It was a good weekend sports-wise. The Pelicans won Saturday and Sunday, moved back into first place and have the best record in the league. Saturday night the Hurricanes won and advanced to the second round of the playoffs. Last night the Rangers won and also advanced to the second round. Now I have a problem. The Hurricanes are playing the Rangers in the second round. The Hurricanes are my "local" team, they play in Raleigh which is about 3 1/2 hours away. The Rangers are the team of my youth. I'm an Islanders fan but the year they entered the league as an expansion team I was a junior in college, I became a hockey fan back in the 1960s in the days of the Original Six and I followed the Rangers back then. What to do, what to do.

The weekend was a blur. Laundry, grocery shopping, Mom visit, dinner out, cooking, brewery visit, and pulled more stuff out of our storage unit. Some more got trashed, which is a very good thing!

Glad you and mom and g'ma are doing okay, Moooooogy.

Avalanche hockey vs. the St. Louis Blues start tomorrow. YAY!!

Cameron's finger is healing nicely, and he's back at work today.

Busy day at work - had 6 new people start. That's a lot of paperwork for me!

And Tammy? I like Bills suggestion of Water Melon.

I went to the state park in the next county, about 10 miles +/- to the south. I saw 3 alligators but not a lot of birds. That's surprising, this park is usually overloaded with birds. No snakes either, in the past I've seen copperheads and water moccasins there.

I'm entered in an online Stanley Cup Playoffs bracket. I have 2 natural disasters playing for the championship with the Avalanche beating the Hurricanes.

Me too! And then today we got in some beautiful Gerbera daisies and the color was called Aqua Melone and I decided it was fate and I can use Aqua Melone' cause it means the same thing basically as Water Melon

I drove past the gas station on my way to the gym. It was raining but quit when I returned home. Gas jumped 20 cents in 2 hours.

Hiya, Nancy! Anne's favorite little shop is Bennet's Jewelry outside of Belfast. It's an annual stop on the Downeast run.

Wife makes these poblano peppers. She stuffs them with snow crab and them puts them on the BBQ. One seed in a pepper sends my mouth on fire, they are hot, but very tasty. Just enhances the beer taste and volume. The crab just finishes it off. I have enough left over for tomorrow. It was the first dinner she ever prepared for me........actually, our first real "date"...LOL

She does the peppers in the micro for just a couple minutes because they are not cooked. The crab is already done, but she shells it and stuffs it. Wraps them individually (not sure why) in foil and then 5 minutes on each side on the BBQ.

I don't watch, but I think it is a lot of work. She does hers with a chicken and cheese something or other.....

A perfect night out here on the gulf coast.....gonna grab another cold beer and fire up the TV here on the back patio..........generally wake up with a full beer and the TV expired out around 2:00 AM. ..........
