Good morning Penny.

In the art world, you know you are Baroque

when you are out of Monet.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning. Did anyone watch the CMA Awards last night? I realize Willie Nelson is in his 80s but I thought he sounded, and looked, really bad. And the way they were beating that "women in country" theme to death all night, I was almost expecting them to find a way to give the Male Artist Of The Year award to a woman.

Morning BNers

Another dreary day, cloudy with off and on rain.

Yes. Larry, I watched the CMAs. So many sad moments... Loretta, Willie, etc. So many of our musical heros are getting older.
As for the celebration of females. I understand so many women had trouble breaking into a mans world. They deserve the recognition.

It sounds like it's going to be an excellent exhibit, MsMod. https://denverartmuseum.org/exhibitions/claude-monet
"The Denver Art Museum will be home to the most comprehensive U.S. exhibition of Monet paintings in more than two decades. The exhibition will feature more than 120 paintings spanning Monet’s entire career and will focus on the celebrated French impressionist artist’s enduring relationship with nature and his response to the varied and distinct places in which he worked."

The have an incredible collection at the Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris:

Been busy with the usual "day off" chores. Now I'm getting ready to start prepping the stuff to make chicken fried rice for dinner.
It's a bright and sunny 30 degrees here in north central Ohio. Hope your Thursday is going great!

It isn't as cold as it was yesterday but it feels like it's going to snow. It's just a nasty overcast day.

Had to get drugs and stopped at the new Aldi. Nice store but not sure we won't stick with Kroger. Wandered around, got free bags and headed home...in the rain. Ugh

I only watched part of it, and what I saw? I enjoyed. But only saw Willie sitting in his seat, and thought he looked 'okay'.

Aldi have really shaken up the supermarkets here in Oz. I gather they are nearing 15% market share in a market dominated by two huge chains.

Their stuff can be weird but we do part of our shop there each week. (I like their turkish bread and their muesli bars).
