Hot Soup SATURDAY@ the MSC

Post by bodypainter » November 16, 2019 7:01 am

Good morning BN. It's soup weather here. Our local dinner serves several types every day and they make a great grilled cheese sandwich to go with.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Team won last night 24-0. Plays next week for the district championship. Heated up some chicken corn soup (my own recipe)
after the game. :pirate:

Heading to lunch at a semi fancy restaurant with my in laws today at noon. That should give us plenty of time to get back home for our 3:30 kick off. I have the game recording just in case. The restaurant is near a very busy mall/shopping area and sometimes the weekend traffic is worse than rush hour.
Happy Saturday everyone!

Good morning. The temperature has dropped 5 degrees since I woke up, it's overcast, damp, windy and the forecast is for rain again. Sounds like another sit on the couch and drink coffee day. ☕

Spent Saturday shopping for and installing a new dishwasher.

Apparently, some bright spark decided that all new dishwashers must have an automatic cut-off valve on the water feed. So many hours were wasted disassembling cupboards and cutting new access holes because the stupid valves are huge and wont fit through existing cutouts.

One day I hope to meet the petty bureaucrat that decided this, at which time I will endeavour to cut him (or her) a new access hole. :)

Of course the money wasn't budgeted for and has come from the "Escape to Margaritaville" fund.

On the bright side, the weather has moderated here in Sydney and NSW a wee bit. The firefighters who are still battling major fires have had a small respite. Although the weather charts hint at a renewed heatwave late next week. So the bug out bags have been re-packed...

Afternoon BNers

Another chilly day (for me). Suppose to warm up this week....70s. I hope so. I am not a fan of sweatshirts. 🙄

Hi there! No soup today, but I did stuff in a big sloppy burger and fries after 4 plus hours on the holiday lights. Rabz, I hate plumbing almost as much as wiring. I've had issues with both. Some years ago, I replaced the kitchen sink faucet. After all the contorting under the sink, I got every thing tightened up and…….

put it in backwards!!!!!!! Hot and cold were reversed.

The fix went fast. I had all the steps still fresh in my head. :D

Sheesh. Lawmakers are making laws about dishwashers?? But glad the weather is backing down just a bit. :) Hope it stays.

Sadly, Australia is fast becoming a land of officialdom, bureaucratic nonsense and draconian governmental secrecy.

Aw geez, I shouldn't have said that, now I'll have another black mark on my permanent record...
