National Chocolate SAT @ the MSC
Hello everybody!
No chocolate for me thanks but the rest of you are more than welcome to my share
NATIONAL CHOCOLATE CANDY DAY
National Chocolate Candy Day offers an opportunity for us to polish off the last of the specialty candies we received as gifts. Celebrated on December 28th, the day points us to the truffles and chocolate oranges tucked into stockings. Check those boxes of candy that may or may not have guides to help us choose cream-filled or ganache.
The word “chocolate” comes from the word “xocoatl” or “chocolatl.” Mayan “school” means hot or bitter, and the Aztec “atl” means water. Chocolate comes from the seed of the tropical Theobroma cacao tree. Cacao has been cultivated for at least three millennia and grows in Mexico, Central America, and Northern South America. The earliest known documentation of using cacao seeds is from around 1100 BC.
But before it was ever made into a sweet candy, it was ground into a beverage. In ruling class society, the beverage was used for medical purposes.

Heading back to the flower shop today. Will be watching my Buckeyes play later this evening. I'm extremely nervous about this game. Go Bucks!

Good morning ladies. I have always loved chocolate. As a kid, I scooped a spoonful of baking chocate into my mouth. That was the only chocolate I didn't like.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning all.
Winter came back, after a week of warm weather. It's snowing and windy. Off to Mom's and then the grocery store. Gotta pick up meal fixin's and stuff for our New Year's Eve meal.
Have a good Saturday!

Afternoon BN.
I've spent most of the morning gathering & organizing receipts from the year to prepare for taxes
That's a shame because it's a beautiful sunny 64 degrees outside but I got it in my mind that's what I was going to do today so...
I'll head to the grocery store soon to get something to cook on the grill.
Happy Sat y'all!
P.s. I'll take Linda's share of chocolate

Afternoon BNers
Our pretty days have turned gloomy. Still warm, 74° but with drizzle and no sun. But better than snow.
Chocolate? Yes please!

Hey gang!!
Well we are in the midst of a week long "extreme" heatwave (Honestly, I don't know what makes it extreme but the media like to say that word).
The fires in our area are much quieter ATM, touch wood. A mate down in southern NSW had a fire sneak up on him, it was so smokey he had no idea until it crested a ridgeline. In retrospect he reckons he should have known better, as all the horses and sheep had come up into the house paddocks. He was ok last night - waiting to hear from him this morning.
After a year of hardly getting to the beach, I have been in the surf three days in a row!! Yesterday, Mrs Rabz and I headed down to the beach where I grew up for a splash. It was about 90°F with a nice sea breeze to clear some of the smoke and the water was 64°F - absolutely gorgeous. Just the tonic we needed.

FISH! There's fish in that photo! The weeds look nice too.
It was nice enough outside, I dragged out the hose and washed the cars.

Gorgeous shot, Rabz.
Relatively balmy day in Vacationland, too, but we're due for some winter tomorrow night. Lazy day around the house and now heading out to dinner with Mr. Lime and the keet.
LSU/OK is pretty much a bust. Ohio State/Clemson should be a beast of a game though.

Re: National Chocolate SAT @ the MSC
Kevin worked at the home brew store today.
I went food shopping and was unsuccessful in finding the right pork roast for our traditional pork and homemade sauerkraut meal. So I’ll have to venture out again tomorrow.
Had a contractor visit today to discuss swapping out our master bathroom tub for a wall tiled/glass doors walk in shower. I fear the estimate.
