No BBQ here today, I'm going to put some Beef in the crockpot for dinner tomorrow. Dinner tonight is going to be some Sweet and Spicy Chicken Stir Fry. Other than that, Bryan went to the grocery and I'm doing lots of nothing in anticipation of going back to work tomorrow.
How are you feeling Tammy?
Feeling pretty good overall, Linda! Still a little ouchie when I cough or sneeze. I still get out of breath easily but apparently that is normal. When I had my follow up last Thursday they did a chest xray and there is no fluid in or around my lungs and they are fully inflated, which is good!
Next Thursday I have an appointment with cardiac rehab at the local little hospital...the surgeon strongly encourages participating in the rehab program. At some point I am supposed to have another echocardiogram. Just waiting for them to call me to get it scheduled. But my BP is good, my glucose numbers are good and my heart is steady and strong. Thanks for asking
We’re the opposite of you Nancy. Started out really nice.
Went with daughter Bridget and son in law to an open house for a place they visited on Friday with their realtor (before the listing was made public). This one is now a “no”. They’ve been out bid a few times, by as much as $50,000 over asking price. They aren’t willing to pay that much more since they don’t “have to move”. They are just looking for a bigger home.
Anyway, we heard some thunder but it hasn’t made its way here just yet but it’s gotten cooler, windier and darker.

Much packing, rearranging and cleaning. Skip bin is full.
One funny point - we had a cleaner come in on Saturday - he does work for the real estate agent we are using the sell the house so thought he would be a good choice as he would know what the agent likes. Seemed like a nice enough guy - ex-pat Canadian. Well he and his Mrs get to work and he starts listening to podcasts on his phone (on speaker) which was fine except they were all deep state and anti-science conspiracy podcasts. He is a dead-set, 100% full-on conspiracy theory nutter.
I couldn't resist the urge, I know, I know, I am weak. I started baiting him about all sorts of things from "rigged" elections to government being only for the 'elites' to the 'faked' moon landings. He started to get quite perturbed as each of his "theories" was dismissed with actual facts and treated with disdain and at times pity.
It was the highlight of an otherwise dull and painful day!

Just got back from the grocery store. They had bone-in ribeye steaks on sale. One of them was HUGE ($63 worth). Wife wouldn't let me get that one.

Evening, peeps. Love BBQ but tonight we're just having Mexican food.
Forecast was for a rainy weekend but it ended up being really nice. We did lots of outdoor chores and planted some flowers in the front beds this afternoon.
Now it's wine thirty.
Bill, a place near us just started carrying those tomahawk steaks, we're definitely trying them sometime this summer. [smilie=yum.gif]
Mine was delicious, but I try not to eat like that now. I'm sure your husband will grill them to perfection.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

A friend who owned 2 sports bars bought 5 Wagu tomahawk rib eyes to grill at camp. They weighed 28 oz at 50$ a steak wholesale price.
Four guys didn't finish the steaks.
Just finished Happy Hour with neighbors......still out on the back patio and just yanked another cold beer from the tap. Banana Republics (Live Version) is on the outdoor speakers.............if you can't sit and enjoy this tune with a cold beer, you don't need to be by the ocean......

Just checked to see how the Pelicans did tonight, Sunday games start at 6:00. They won 9-7 in 10 innings. After starting the season with a 3 game losing streak they're 6-6 now. I don't know how they're doing it, 6 of the 9 guys in the starting lineup have batting averages under .200.
Anyone remember Cleveland Amory? Did you know his name is on an animal sanctuary? India (the tiger) is on her way there.
So glad she is safe.
Man with tiger says tiger belongs to wife. Wife says nope..not mine. Hmmmm
