Good morning gang. I started off great, loading hundreds of pounds of pipe and driving to a junk yard. On the way back, I swung into a gravel yard and ghot a ton of limestone. I made it home 5 minutes before a heavy thunderstorm hit. Unloading the gravel will have to wait.

The junk yard office had a huge,furry cat on the counter. I gave him a pet and the clerk warned me he bites and scratches. They don't need a junk yard dog with this guy around.

The bartender and several waitresses at the bbq joint I went to for lunch yesterday are more Hooters-worthy than any of the Hooters girls at the Augusta restaurant. And the place is a dump. I had my 1 Corona and I was out of there.

I am going out to eat with friends I used to work with this evening. This is my first time in a restaurant since covid.

The bartender and several waitresses at the bbq joint I went to for lunch yesterday are more Hooters-worthy than any of the Hooters girls at the Augusta restaurant. And the place is a dump. I had my 1 Corona and I was out of there.

Guessing quality talent is saved for non premium hours..
Had my Corona ode to Garry yesterday at Vic's........probably 2nd Corona I've had in last 6 years or so.

Our places up here are so short-staffed that all the front-of-the-house staff pretty much does everything. They are all running around hosting, waiting tables, bussing, getting their own drinks/beers,etc. In normal years we get a lot of kids from overseas here on VISAs. But with the embassies closed no one can get a visa. Help Wanted signs virtually everywhere.

Driving around Augusta and North Augusta the last 3 days, I didn't see any Help Wanted signs. Back home in Myrtle Beach they're all over the place. I've even seen some "Join Our Team" messages on some of the electronic billboards along Hwy 17 that have rotating messages.

Today was insane at work - catching up stuff I missed for a simple TWO days off!!!

A/C still is out - when I left work it was 105 outside, and 88 degrees at my desk. And I sit in the best area of the office! Good news tho - the new compressor arrived, and should be installed tomorrow. Fingers and toes crossed.

Did my first load of post vacation laundry - the simple stuff and we gotta have undies, ya know?

Off to watch some shows I recorded while gone- then to bed. Can't do a midnight sleep time today!
