I'm sitting at the mall waiting for Lens Crafters to open, I have an appointment at 10:00 to get my eyes checked. When I was driving here I saw a car with the license plate LUV 69.

Anyway, I woke up about 8:30 this morning.

All that rain we had yesterday really cooled things off. It hasn't made it to 75 degrees yet, that's a lot better than 95 and a heat index of 108 like we had over the weekend.

The Pelicans are on a road trip so they didn't get rained out yesterday. They won 6-4 and hit 2 inside the park home runs, one of them was a grand slam. According to the article on their website, it was the first grand slam of the season. They still have no chance to make the playoffs.

I went camping with Bern. He handed me a tin of cookies he baked for the hotel. I think he said they were 400 calories each. They took a LOT of milk.
