Last Summer SUNDAY@ the MSC
Good morning world! Last evening we attended a wedding next door. The neighbor had a friend cook a whole pig. I'm still full.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Re: Last Summer SUNDAY@ the MSC
Good morning.
The Pelicans game was on TV last night and after winning 11-4 Friday they won 12-2 last night. I hope they saved some hits for today. It's the last game of the season and I'm going. If they win they finish the season at 60-60. It's not good but the last 2 years they had the worst record in the league one year and the 2nd worst the other year so I won't complain too much about breaking even. As poorly as they played this year, I kept track of how they did in the games I went to and they're 7-3 at home. I took a road trip and went to one away game but they lost that one.

After no rain for the past 3 months, we had 1.5" in the last 2 days. Finally! I think my grass is already greening up.

Aloha, peeps. Sunny, breezy, beautiful autumn day in Vacationland.
No plans, just going to futz around in the yard and watch some football this afternoon.

Good thing I checked my ticket for today's ballgame. All season, Sunday home games have started at 6:05, today's game starts at 4:05. I would have gotten there in the 5th inning.

Aaaargh! Afternoon me hearties! Yesterday at about 6 bells (3PM) Jeannette and I heard a loud "boom".
Thinking there was a nearby car accident or we were under attack by the queen's navy I rushed outside.
Was then I noticed flames coming from the fenced in back yard of our new, young, and foolish neighbors.
I was pondering getting our 100 ft garden hose out of storage to lend assistance when I noticed the young
man next door was putting water on the fire. Turns out they had cut some brush yesterday and he was trying to
burn it. He used gasoline and a match. The lad is not the sharpest cutlass in the arms locker.

Re: Last Summer SUNDAY@ the MSC
Just walked into a little "Dive Bar" here in Anchorage called the Peanut Farm. They have the "original" bar which is a small tiny rustic old joint which sits right along side a river. They also have a new added on portion which is very modern and large. I went for the old bar.
Got here at 11:00 AM and couldn't fid a spot to park. Got in a found a table way back in a corner. Wall to wall people. I forgot that the NFL football games begin at 9:00 AM their time.
Cheers

We used to have a neighbor who used waaay too much lighter fluid on his Weber grill. Any time we heard a big "whump" we'd say "it sounds like Leon is BBQing tonight."big john wrote: ↑September 19, 2021 1:46 pm Aaaargh! Afternoon me hearties! It's going to be a beautiful day for the last game of the year. About 80 degrees, not too humid and a nice ocean breeze (the ballpark is a little over a mile from the beach).
